on a rural site, south-east of lima, peruvian architect marina vella has completed a family home which reconciles the site’s irregular topography.

The image is of a small, rustic stone cottage nestled in a forest. The cottage has a fieldstone foundation and walls with a chimney made of the same material. The roof is made of rough-cut wooden shakes. The front door is made of wood. There is a small window on the right side of the cottage. The cottage is surrounded by trees and shrubs. The leaves on the trees are turning brown and orange, which suggests that it is autumn.

Alex lives in Northern Illinois and is building a hovel tiny house. The Hovel is a 481 cubic foot house, built from local stone and some salvaged materials. It is a very unique structure and I’m looking forward to seeing Alex complete it. Alex is trying to raise some funds to get the hovel winterized
