If something is not working as expected, Troubleshooting covers the common failures and how to diagnose them.

Getting started

How do I switch from testing to taking real payments?

Set Mode to Yes, I am ready to receive payments under General settings. Mode applies to your whole store, so there is nothing to change per payment method. See Test and go live.

Can I put one payment method in test mode and leave the rest live?

No. Mode is set once for your whole store, so testing affects every method at once. Test on a store your customers cannot reach.

Payments and refunds

Can I choose which card brands I accept?

Yes. Open Configure on Credit and debit cards and select the brands you allow. Those are the brands your customer sees on Smart Checkout after being redirected. The brands are not listed separately in your Ecwid checkout. See Payment methods.

How do I refund a customer?

Open the Refunds section of the app, search for the order number and enter the amount to refund. You can also refund from the transaction in Buckaroo Plaza. Either way it does not create a credit note in Ecwid, so record it there yourself. See Order management.

Where do I find a payment?

In the transaction overview in Buckaroo Plaza. Search on the Ecwid order number to find the matching transaction. See Transactions.

Configuration and operations

Do I need to set up a push URL?

No. Buckaroo hosts this app, so payment confirmations reach it directly. Setting a push URL yourself is only needed for our self-hosted plugins.

Do I need to update the app?

No. Buckaroo maintains the hosted app, so updates reach your store without any action from you.
