pigeonman sits in washington square
fingers 'round a bag of love he shares
for his brothers and sisters with feathers and beaks
staring is rude didn’t someone teach you
to think of others in the nicest way?
muse on the man who’s one with a bench
can’t you imagine what he’ll say?
“i have more in common with birds than my people
if i feed them love then they feed me
music to my ears makes me feel human
and a blanket full of notes puts me to sleep”
pigeonman do you have a family?
do you have a wife and kids who love you so sweet?
or a husband, that’s fine, i don’t judge, me too
pigeonman i could be just like you
"i have more in common with birds than my people
if i feed them love then they feed me
music to my ears makes me feel human
and a blanket full of notes puts me to sleep"
i have more in common with birds than my people
if i feed them love then they feed me
music to my ears makes me feel human
and a blanket full of notes puts me to sleep
They always say you can do it, but the reality of it all is, I don't ever feel like I can. Sometimes I like to sit down, and listen to this as I watch the cars go by and the wind blow against my face. Eggbot3000
so many good quotes from this album, especially from On Paradise. i love this album for its lucidity and its succinct expression and lyricism.
i cannot express just how much i feel the slow, almost invariable atmosphere of On Paradise on such a visceral, emotional level. the gentle instrumentation combined with the solemn and sober lyrics makes it one of my favourite from Keep it Together.
