Tried to install using brew but their install server isn't in DNS. Is this product dead and my $20 a loss?

Is this Russian software? It digs deep into the Mac system, so I am worried these days.

I had a small problem that one of my Applescripts worked with every external drive except, lately, except for 2 out of 7 partitions on one drive. I tried and tried to diagnose the problem to no avail. Then I checked DriveDx and it told me the drive was in imminent danger of failure, and even gave details, and I believe it.
Really good app!

It saved my data when it flagged a drive was on its way out. I backed up my stuff and ordered in a new drive, and re-purposed my old drive as an external. Two months later it died.
