Wyrm, un Charles Perrault des temps modernes ? Il est vrai que l'artiste canadien se refuse à faire autre chose que de la musique, il n'empêche qu'il est un conteur hors pair et, si la galerie des personnages est très étoffée, tous sont très facilement identifiables. Dans For the Glory of Blackholm, c'est une nouvelle quête qui démarre. Le dungeon synth ne repose pas sur les cuivres habituels, Elder Goblin ne pouvant compter sur sa force seule : il est plus mystérieux, sournois, fragile aussi !

Parmi la ribambelle de projets dirigés par Wyrm, Cefaris est celui qui a le plus d'atomes crochus avec Erythrite Throne puisque le vampirisme y est une véritable obsession — le split entre les deux n'est donc pas un hasard. En revanche, Cefaris est la face cachée, celle qui n'a rien de spectaculaire ou de romantique et ça s'observe déjà dans Ritual of Vampyric Blood, son premier album. Le dungeon synth y est plus minimaliste et les cris de Wyrm marqués par la douleur de la soif. Dantesque !

Les aventures narrées par Dungeontroll n'ont pas toute une issue heureuse et il ne faudra qu'un coup d'œil sur les titres des pistes d'Ubins Quest pour le comprendre. D'ailleurs, même s'il est léger, le dungeon synth porte aussi en lui le poids de la tragédie. Et malgré tout, la magie reste intacte : c'est ravissant !
