Man, this is some flat out foul death doom metal. Crushingly heavy and intimidating. The whole album oozes a thick and murky atmosphere that will leave you feeling hypoxic and catatonic. Do what you can to brace yourself against this torrent of sludge and slime. 8/10

There's plenty of metal that mines a narrow seam sonically e.g. Portal are a favourite band, but if I listened to them daily, I'd probably go mad - though possibly that's their intention 😆. Dream Unending in comparison, have so much breadth, variation, and emotion even that I look forward to bathing in their depths on a regular basis.
