QY "Rainbow" Lighting Stand Review, Pictures & Video

Hi folks :) It seems that I've been doing quite a bit of review for accessories in March, and today shall be the "Rainbow" Lighting Base from QY ;)

Manufacturer: QY
Price: RM28, or less
Availability: My friend have small amount of stock ;)

Since this is a lighting stand, there is not much thing to review... the plastic quality is very nice, and very similar to the original one that is selling for RM46 or more in the market :p

I was pleasantly surprised by the "Rainbow" effect tho ;) It is pretty hard to observe from my pictures, therefore I have posted a video in addition.

Single Stand, with my Dynames Gundam from 00 Season 1

4 Stands Joint Together, with all 4 main Gundam from 00 Season 1

Acrylic Plastic Model Display Case Review

Hi there :)

I've just got this interesting Acrylic plastic display case from my friend, Ascentic, and I can't wait to post a review on this case...

Manufacturer: QY (China Brand)
Dimension: 21.5 x 21 x 26 cm (enough to fit an MG as tall as Sinanju)
Price: RM50 COD (Email to me at duelmasterng@yahoo.com)
Availability: Limited stock, 1st come 1st serve

Open Box

The box is quite thin, but it pack some weight due to the 5 pieces of acrylic plastics board. The boards are individually packed to prevent scratches during transit, but there would still be some non-obvious scratches here and there which is not noticeable once assembled.

Lighting Effect

The case comes with 2 lights... one in blue, and the other flashing rainbow light powered by 2 AAA batteries (not included).

Assembly

It is pretty easy to assemble the case...
  1. Set up the base;
  2. Set up the side panels;
  3. Place you kit into the case;
  4. Cover the top panel.

It helps a lot if you have an extra pair of hand, but masking tape would come in handy too if you are short of hand :p

Display Case in Action

For this review, I placed 2 model kits into the case... my MG RX-78NT1, and HGUC Nu-Gundam. As you can see in the following pictures, there are still space available for taller kits like Sinanju and Unicorn :)

Conclusion

The display case, for RM50, is a must-have if you want to showcase your handy work :) Not only limited to Gunpla... you can use this case for any display items you do not want outside interference ;)
