a masculine card.....

yep...one of those tricky to make cards for a man who is sensitive about his age...so no joke cards.....

so the tonic dies have come in......the intricate frame DL dies.....and some really old card stock....yehhhh...Anitas cards from when I first started buying crafty stash...one down 49 to go.....the happy birthday die is also a tonic one....a few nuvo drops and I am done....going to try it again in Navy and see what that looks like....

and a little bit of gilding wax....an embosalicious embossing folder ....and the clock faces are a Joy die ....backin time that I bought several years ago and just found again.....its great using stash the stuff you forget you have in your craft room!.....
I have got through the whole of March without buying anything new......

majestic morning collage background stamp.....majestic morning background precut set...thats the flowers.....spellbinders sprightly sprockets dies..the yellow background is embossed with a special touch A4 mask....time...some stickles on the flowers...bakers twine coloured with mustard seed distress ink...thought it would be good for one of my men friends who is a great gardner and loves flowers....

A Mans birthday card

I had a special friend in mind when I made this card its his birthday on the 14th.....

Mike volunteers at RAF Hendon and so I thought this image from the justrite going places vintage labels was just perfect.....stamped in distressed walnut stain...cut out with the matching dies...a couple of embossing folders...cogs cut from the spellbinders set...greetings LOTV...

A "chap" card.....

I seem to be in a brown mood.....

this is a lovely personal impressions stamp of York minster ...just inked up with walnut stain distress ink, stamped and then the edges blended with the same colour, matted on to dark brown card....then I used the justrite  harlequin script background stamp again using the same colour distressed ink and blended the edges...I also distressed it with the Tim Holtz distressing blade and curled up one edge...embossed a piece of Kraft card with the embossalicious embossing folder and highlighted the pattern a bit with distressed stain, mounted on black card, wrapped some brown and cream bakers twine round before sticking down onto an 8x8 Kraft card and stuck on a matching coloured button....

a new dienamics ribbon die and the new tonic butterfly boutique set...no idea which one as I chucked away all the packaging.....thought the colours were fairly good for a man card....

just started to play with my Justrite going places vintage labels

Image stamped with black soot distress ink and cut out with the corresponding die

 attached to a piece of coordinations black card which has been embossed with the couture creations houndstooth embossing folder and sanded back....creative expressions  silver PVA glue for the dots..

wrapped round with creative expressions twine

birthday card for a man?

I have to say these are the hardest cards for me I just never know what to do....playing with my delites.....

this is the cattstails die cut 3 times....the butterfly is from the les papillions stet are really are a nice size...the sentiment is a creative expressions one embossed with cosmic shimmer bronze lustre ..I used craft card and boy was it difficult to cut thank goodness for the wax paper...and a bit of bling.
