My name is Kelly Pugliano and I am the cook, baker, photographer, and storyteller of this space on the web. I am located in Northern VA | DC area, where I live with my husband. We are proud parents of 2 grown kids, who we miss every day. I love to travel, especially where good food can be discovered.

I believe everyone can cook, even if they think otherwise, so all recipes shared on this site will be easy to follow and fun to cook whether you are a novice or master chef. You can look up any recipe in our Recipe Index to get started.

We want you to be able to use simple ingredients, prepare an easy meal you can enjoy with family or friends and save time in the process!

A Little About Kelly

I love to cook, bake, eat, write and take pictures of food.  Coffee is a must every day and I will always make time for a good craft brew or glass of wine. The kitchen is my happy place; here I discover new flavors and keep traditional family favorites alive and well to pass on to the next generation. 

I was the Cooking School Coordinator at a local boutique kitchenware store, The Spoon & Whisk, where I worked with local chefs and culinary school instructors to create interesting menus, write and publish our registration brochure and oversee each class. Not only am I surrounded by food, but I also worked in the best place to learn about every gadget on earth! It is also where I fell in love with one of my favorite cooking and baking products- Le Creuset!

I love how food tastes when I cook in my Le Creuset Dutch Oven! 

I also launched and ran a successful subscription box/gifting business called Roost Crate™, a “farmers market in a box” delivered to your door for four amazing years before retiring in 2019. This shift allows me to focus more on our food blog which has been wonderful!
