ONC Certified Health IT gematik – National Digital Health Agency HIPAA Compliance

A Kodjin FHIR-centric data platform for digital health

Kodjin was born out of the challenge of designing and implementing a national-scale, centrally managed HIE (health information exchange) capable of supporting 40 million users and storing data as fine-grained, RESTful resources.

The result was one of the few global FHIR servers, adopted by major organizations and IT vendors.
Today, it has evolved into a full-featured health data platform.

What sets Kodjin apart

01

Scalable and high-performing

Our FHIR data platform efficiently processes millions of patient records. Load tests showed up to 920 RPS for GET requests, 694 records/sec for bulk import, and 1 million resources exported in 201 sec, ensuring fast and reliable data exchange.

02

Based on modern technology stack

Kodjin leverages a Rust-based architecture, with an event-driven, microservices approach for real-time processing. It utilizes MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Redis for flexible and optimized data storage and analytics.

03

Focused on data quality

Our FHIR- compliant solution ensures accurate, standardized, and interoperable healthcare data. It validates, transforms, and normalizes records using proprietary Data Mapper, ELT, and Terminology Service, eliminating data inconsistencies.

04
