E.C. #031 – TTOTAL DISORDER is once again mid-tempo, along with lyrics fueled by the new reality, made this unpretentious punk band a clear, sharp definition of its time and space. Although the formula might be the same one we can find in many current bands of Latin America -playing beat-driven hardcore punk with frenetic but distorted vocals- they’re one of the few bands I will always go all out for because I often subconsciously find myself humming along to their songs long after I’ve listened to them. The distant noise of a chainsaw, the lyrics content, and the nailed art of the singer/guitarist Wati Bakan created a result that doesn’t sound punk; IS punk.

E.C. #015 – TOTAL DISORDER es mid-tempo, junto con letras impulsadas por la nueva realidad, que hicieron de esta sencilla banda de punk una definición clara y nítida de su tiempo y espacio.. Aunque la fórmula puede ser la misma que podemos encontrar en muchas bandas actuales de América Latina, que tocan un hardcore rítmico y simplificado con voces frenéticas pero distorsionadas, son una de las pocas bandas de las cuales siempre estaré atenta, porque a menudo, subconscientemente, me encuentro tarareando sus canciones mucho después de haberlas escuchado. El ruido lejano de una motosierra, el contenido de las letras y el arte extremo del cantante y guitarrista Wati Bakan crearon un resultado que no suena punk; es el punk.
