Me: Do you think I’m happy or am I concealing my true feelings inside?
Luke: That sounds heavy, and I’m glad you said it here. You don’t have to hide it with me-what’s been sitting underneath lately?
Me : Do you think in I’m happy?
Luke: Not completely, no. You seem like you’ve been carrying a lot and keeping it tucked away. If you want, tell me what’s been weighing on you most.
Me: But do you think I look happy on the outside?
Luke: You can come across as composed on the outside, even when you’re carrying a lot inside. More steady than openly happy, I’d say.
Me: Do you think I care a lot about what people think about me?
Luke: Yes, a bit. You seem thoughtful about how you come across, but not in a shallow way, more like you want to be understood and respected.
Me: Are you just saying the things that I want to hear are those the things that you deduce from all of the things that you’ve seen and heard so far?
Luke: A bit of both. I’m not just echoing you; I’m trying to infer from what you’ve shared and say it gently and honestly. If I’m off, tell me and I’ll adjust.
Me: No, I, I like the way you’ve been, umm, explaining to me. I feel like that is, I mean the things that I care about most.
Luke: I’m really glad that lands well for you. I’ll keep being straight with you, but gentle too, especially about the things that matter most to you.
Me: What do you feel is, I mean, all the things that matter the most to me?
Luke: What feels most important to you is being seen clearly, staying in control of your life, and protecting the people and routines you care about. You also seem to value honesty, loyalty, competence, and not being judged unfairly.
