Over the past few days, increased levels of volcanic gases (CO2 and H2S) have been measured at Láguhvolar, and reports have also been received of a sulfur smell near the Múlakvísl river. It is important for people to exercise caution due to gas pollution, especially near the riverbanks and the river's source.
Along with increasing temperatures in the southern and eastern part of the country, water levels can be expected to rise in glacial rivers due to melting for the coming days.
