This looks like a possible derivation from German Trage (“stretcher”), perhaps the plural Tragen, with metathesis on the "r", + diminutive suffix -ca. Has anyone in the Magyar-osphere evaluated this possibility? ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 22:01, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
