[edit]Coined possibly independently multiple times in multiple languages, but modern use derives from the Interlingua word. The word itself comes from Latin inter (“between”) + lingua (“language”).

- A constructed interlanguage based on Romance languages, English, German, Russian and Latin, developed by the International Auxiliary Language Association, and first published in 1951.
