[edit]Singularized plural of *vallë, from Proto-Albanian *walwā, a derivative of Proto-Indo-European *wel- (“to turn, wind, round”). Close to Latin volvō (“to roll”)[1] Ancient Greek εἰλύω (eilúō, “to roll up, wrap”). See vjell and vjel.
