Etymology
[edit]貫 (a string of coins) + 盈 (full)
- In ancient times, coins had holes in their centers so that they could be threaded onto strings. When a string of preset length (貫) became full (盈), this term was used to describe it. Later, the term came to refer to an abundance of evil deeds.
