Nien Rebellion(1864--1868)

Ren Zhu (任柱, ?-1867), born in Mengcheng Anhui, eminent military leader of the Nien Rebellion and known during his military tenure as the King of Lu (魯王) led Nien(捻軍) forces to many military victories.Li Hongzhang praised Ren Zhu‘s ability could command 100 thousands cavalry . In May 1865, during a campaign against the Qing Shandong, he shot the Qing dynasty general Sengge Rinchen (the Battle of Goulawjai), it made giant shock to Qing Dynasty, and change field marshalZeng Guofan become the commander of Why Army Li Hongzhang inner 3 days soon.

In June 1865, he commanded Nien cavalry forces of 90,000 in surrounding and attacking the capital Beijing, nearly successfully. He died in battle by rebel murder in Lianyungang, with the Qing dynasty general Liu Mingchuan buy killer.
