(note: I can assure you that the station on the 98.9 FM frequency in San Francisco had the call letters KQAK. -a faithful "Quake" employee)

If you look at the older versions of this KQAK entry, you will see that it contained a fairly elaborate description of the old KQAK station that was based in San Francisco in the 1980s.

It was not in any way a public service to delete all of that carefully researched material merely on the basis of someone else having received the rights to re-use the famous KQAK call letters in a different broadcast market. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fiddledeedee (talkcontribs) 01:19, 11 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
