Thanks for your time in reviewing and responding with comments. I am learning that it all comes down to heavy research for relevant references. On the 'deletionist' matter maybe i have a soft spot for the 'underdog' articles that are facing deletion whether this is the right strategy to be usefull??? Anyhow Thanks and really appreciate your work. Geez-oz (talk) 21:03, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. I've rewritten it based upon your comments. Please do have a look back and let me know what you think. Thanks.

Thanks very much for looking at my article (Kay Mills, author). You had some great ideas and I'll work on implementing them. Tryout22. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tryout22 (talkcontribs) 23:10, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tkotc Thanks very much for your feedback on my article (Robert Koenig (sculptor). I'll go through all the things you have advised on, and will read up on the formatting etc. thanks again - I appreciate your help. Babstap7 Babstap7 (talk) 14:02, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Thanthondreeswarar Temple

Hi Tkotc,

This is regarding your review on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanthondreeswarar_Temple_(Belur,_Salem)

Based on your review for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_feedback/2010_December_18, I have made few changes as suggested by you.

I had used the citation. I used simple word to explain few things that are basically in native language.

Kindly review my article and remove the tag "This page is a new unreviewed article."

RE: Kaelan Joyce - Thanks!

Thank you for finding the time to assess my article!

Feedback is very welcomed! The subject did indeed get National Media attention. He is the only Gibraltarian to date to win a British National title and most local papers covered this achievement. I even have an issue of the Gibraltar Chronicle (gibs oldest and most prestigious paper) December 31st 2003 were the subject appears on the front page together with a write up.

I am just finding it hard to gather relevent information online. As his most notable achievement, BUSA (National title) was won by the subject over 8 years ago! A long time in the internet world. LOL

I will take heed of your advice though and keep searching for old articles etc to support everything I have written.

Once again I thank you for finding the time to assess my article and respond to me accordingly.

Very much appreciated. :)

Hi Tkotc

Thanks very much for your feedback on my article. I thought I had included references, though! And wikipedia is very hard to navigate. I'm trying to edit my contribution, and no doubt will learn how to do it by the year 2030... But thanks again.

Re: article feedback/Edmund Schubert

Thanks for the feedback. This is my first foray into 'user talk' so I hope I'm doing this the right way. Regarding your feedback, much appreciated. I studied other bio pieces to try to get the feel for how it's done, but you raise some good points which I will address as soon as possible. Thanks again for your help. Re: lolaberic

Hi Tkotc,

Thank you very much for your help so far. I am going to keep working on my article and would love anyother feedback you have in the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lolaberic (talkcontribs) 15:26, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reviewing the article and trying to break down the issues with it a bit. I think "Print is Dead" is super interesting and maybe I just want someone else to pick it up and write about it! I will poke around a bit and see how I can approach it from a wikipedia way in the hopes of launching a stub. Anyways thanks again for your comments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slowlyslyly (talkcontribs) 00:40, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback on my nascent Patrick Hufschmid article :)

Hey man, thanks for taking the time and check over the article so far :) I'll be trawling the web to find more references as you suggested! Cheers, C

Thanks for new Gutenberg author articles

Thanks!

I sporadically patrol the list of PG authors lacking articles. This evening I found several of your new articles, mostly in the "new unreviewed" state. I reviewed them: very impressive, thanks. If you care, you my wish to check out my edit history to look at the changes I made, all of which were trivial.

How are you selecting topics? Are you using PG authors explicitly, or is this happenstance?

One minor suggestion: when you add an article, please try hard to go to existing articles and add links to your new article. This is important because it prevents the deletionists from classifying your article as an orphan, but it's even more important because it dramatically improves Wikipedia. In general, I think your article will not be considered an orphan if you can link to it from two mainspace articles (other than dabs, lists, etc.) Note that I personally think that (with rare exceptions) the fact that the subject is a PG author is enough to establish notability, but I am not a deletionist.

You may choose to go to the PG author pages at Wikipedia:Project Gutenberg author list and delete the link to your new article after you have created it. If you choose not to do this, that's fine: I am perfectly happy to continue to do this, and it gives me an opportunity to review your articles. If you choose to do this, please link to your new article in your edit comment, so we can see if your article gets deleted.

I tend to add a Template:Worldcat id entry to PG author articles, as I did to all of this batch. You may choose to do this when you add an article for a published author. In my opinion, a Worldcat entry is de facto evidence of notability. Others may disagree. -Arch dude (talk) 01:57, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(1) My personal project was to help on the Project Gutenberg missing articles project. I pick the subjects more or less randomly, except lately I have just been going down the "S" list, googling the names, and seeing if there seems to be enough out there to write an article. Later, those that fail this may be run through the indices of the various literary biography reference works at the library. It has been fun picking them this way. Lots of very interesting people. A great number of Gutenberg authors were really known for something else, and happened to write one book about it.
(2) I wasn't aware of the Worldcat thing. I will definitely try to incorporate it.
(3) If I know about a mention of my subject in another article, I try to do the Wikilink, but sometimes there isn't one. Kind of a chicken-and-egg thing. Maybe my article would lead to a link somewhere. If the deletionists strike ... at the very least it would be a sad thing. Again thanks for reading these little articles. You may have been the last who ever will! Tkotc (talk) 02:18, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The mention of the Deletionists hadn't really struck a chord until tonight. Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2011 February 14 and the associated discussion on Reddit suggest that it is not worth investing further time and energy writing more articles. Tkotc (talk) 07:48, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your advice. I'm hoping that with enough patience, I'll get it right. If you have any other comments or criticisms, I would appreciate your input very much.

Thanks again! I have eliminated the genealogy site reference and replaced it with a book citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Golden helmet78 (talkcontribs) 03:17, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tkotc - thanks for your input about my Joan Field article

I hope this is the place to respond and ask questions!

I really appreciate your advice, especially as this is my first foray into Wikipedia. I'll do as you suggest and read up on the various parameters that could use improvement, and if I have any questions hope I can come back to you for more good advice.

I do have another issue which you might be able to help with. In my page, I initially included a reproduction of a concert advertising poster for the artist, Joan Field. This was removed by some kind of wiki bot for lack of copyright info. As it happens, I'm the owner of this image. Can you give me some guidance as to the best way to use this information so that I can include the photo back on the page?

Many thanks again. ok, just learned I have to sign things... hope I'm doing this right...

Ok - I've spent some time on wiki live help and have made changes both to the article and the way I uploaded the photo. Think I'm getting the hang of it. The article is now up live for the world to see. Thanks for your help. Davidreskin (talk) 02:14, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Joshua's_Tract_Conservation_and_Historic_Trust

Thanks for helping with the suggestions and especially the book reference. I would have fished around for days on that. Secantline (talk) 14:09, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for feedback on War of the Rebellion Atlas!

Your feedback was most appreciated, and the tweaking to the article made it look even better. I'm still very much a noob at WP, but this has been a great experience, and I look forward to further contributions. FYI: I check the URL for the online atlas and found a stray character in the address. It works fine now, and I'm excited to hear your feedback on the collection at BU after you've had a chance to look at it. Wolfsolvesproblems (talk) 17:22, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
