The 40 Kearny-Jersey Gardens is a bus route operated by New Jersey Transit in the U.S. states of New Jersey and New York. Buses head north from North Arlington Loop, in North Arlington along Davis Avenue, Elm Street, Belleville Turnpike, Harrison Avenue, Frank E Rodgers Blvd, Raymond Blvd, Broad Street, Market Street, South Street, Port Newark, Corbin Street, Marsh Street and Tyler Street to Jersey Gardens[1] in Elizabeth via Kearny, North Arlington, Harrison, Harrison PATH Station on the PATH, Newark, Port Newark, and Elizabeth.

The route began under PSCT (Public Service Coordinated Transport) in 1924. Then, NJ Transit operated the route after.
