Scanned from a picture in the "St.Vincents Hospital" book, source The Mitchell Library, State Library of N S W. Photo was taken from the air some time in 1930 after the Darlinghust Gaol had closed in 1912 when prison was moved to Long Bay. SEE PLAN OF PRISON UPLOADED 2010. 1841- 1912 Operated as Darlinghrust Gaol 1914-1918 Internment camp for Enemy Alians and Military detention camp 1921-22 Extensive alterations and additions to make into Technical College (SEE UPLOAD OF MEMORIAL STONE) 1976 Site clasified by the National Trust.

2010 NSW State Govt announced $15million for further restoration upgrade of the National Arts College now located here
