Explanation: The subject died in 1801. Accoreidng to the rule thet all pics took in 1937 of before are PD, this one is surely PD.

The rule goes following: All pics took in 1837 or bfore are PD beacuse the authore must have died 70 years ago. Why ? Even if the painter was borin in 1937 and painted or took the picture on his birth date in 1837, which he surely did not, he did not surely live 100 years, or there would be some record abput that, so he died more than 70 years ago and his works are PD.
