Русский: Валерий Иванович Якоби (1834-1902) «Шуты при дворе императрицы Анны Иоанновны» Композиция включает 26 фигур: собравшихся в спальне недомогающей императрицы Бирона (сидит у ее изголовья) и придворных стараются развеселить шуты, играющие в чехарду. Это М.А. Голицын (стоит согнувшись) и Н.Ф. Волконский (вскочил на него), А.М. Апраксин (растянулся на полу), шут Балакирев (возвышается над всеми), Педрилло (со скрипкой) и д'Акоста (с бичом). У кровати - графиня Бирон, за столом играют в карты статс-дама Н.Ф. Лопухина, ее фаворит граф Левенвольде и герцогиня Гессен-Гомбургская, позади них - граф Миних и князь Н. Трубецкой. Подле Бирона - его сын с бичом и начальник Тайной канцелярии А.И. Ушаков. Рядом сидят - будущая правительница Анна Леопольдовна, французский посол де Шатарди и лейб-медик Лесток. На полу, возле постели - карлица-шутиха калмычка Буженинова. В стороне у насеста с попугаями - поэт В.К. Тредиаковский. У входа - с негодованием взирает кабинет-министр А. Волынский
