History
[edit]This stop was opened along with the track section between Spring Lane and Gleadless Townend in December 1994. The line was extended further to Halfway in March 1995.[2]
Layout
[edit]Manor Top tram stop has two low-level side platforms, situated on either side of the wide road. The trams share the road with other traffic, temporarily merging into tram-only sections on the road to get to the platforms.[3]
At the centre of each platform, passenger information displays stand and show estimated arrival times for trams.[4] There are also two short ramps at each end of the platforms, providing step-free access for passengers.[5]
Services
[edit]The Blue route has a peak frequency of 5 trams per hour (every 12 minutes), and the Purple route runs hourly Monday−Saturday and every 30 minutes (peak frequency) on Sundays.[6]
