For anyone wondering what the source is, it is: Scar Tissue, by Anthony Keidis.

"had relations with" is an inappropriate euphemism for rape or sex

[edit]

The expression "had relations with" is a euphemistic and idiomatic construct. In this article, it serves to soften an act of statutory rape and sexual assault on a minor. Per WP:SPADE and MOS:EUPHEMISM, this is not in line with Wikipedia's guidelines and should be changed to more direct language.

Maybe the WP:BLP and WP:PERPETRATOR rules preclude using the term "raped", but even "had sex with" would be an improvement.

There is no question of fact, per the cited reference written by the person in question: https://archive.org/details/scartissue00kiedi/page/159. I don't know how the BLP rules apply to confessed but not convicted criminal activity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.56.140.148 (talk) 14:05, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
