Rewrite, re-edit, and Wikify
[edit]I am nominating this article for a rewrite and wikify due to language, lack of sources, and formatting. However I wanted to get consensus and input on citations and suggestions on deletions/additions. Please discuss here IlliniGradResearch (talk) 05:07, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
perception
[edit]The perception given by the author is not incorrect, but inconclusive. Not all Family Videos rent only 1 night rentals for new releases. Different locations carry different pricing and different rental periods. A 0-4 week one night rental would only cost upwards of $18 if a customer kept a movie for 6 late days, when the rental period is clearly specified at checkout and in advertisements in the store location. Many Family Video stores offer the same new releases for 5 nights, in limited quantities. 69.133.106.131 16:47, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I am not sure if it was a typo or what, but Family Video has opened a new store in Byron, IL. The article cited that it was closing a store there. Someone needs to verify if the other stores listed were opening or closing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.230.78.123 (talk) 21:20, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
This page was obviously written by someone who works for the company. They did not even bother to change the tone or perspective of their writing to hide this. The article needs to be essentially re-written by someone else. For example: QUOTE: Most importantly Family Video strives to provide their customers with a great experience from the friendly "hello" they receive when they enter the store, to the time when they are checked out. Family Video's mission is "Family Video's mission is to be the customer's first entertainment choice. We do this by providing a unique mix of great customer service and low prices. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUR TOP PRIORITY." Family Video strives to achieve this goal in every aspect of their corporation. END QUOTE:

Fair use rationale for Image:I famvid horiz logo.jpg
[edit]Image:I famvid horiz logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
