Development section is a mess
[edit]The Development section is a mess. At best it is very boring read "On Date X Actor Y was cast as Character Z" and so on. I was disappointed that the section was reverted wholesale by User:Revan4000 without even following the simple rules to provide an edit summary describing the changes, which would have shown some good faith. (The edit was clearly a manual revert, no effort was made to even keep simple improvements to make the dates clear and specific, the first sentence "On 8 May 2012" was changed back "In May", not even that easy improvement was retained.)
I previously attempted to improve writing of the section (see state before the revert), grouping characters together by heroes and villains, giving it a bit more flow, not just listing the date of each casting. I expect much of this information will be removed when more Production information becomes available, but we can do better than simply throwing away this section. Looking at it now and considering my earlier changes, all the brief character descriptions should be moved to the Cast section (hopefully later comments from the actors themselves added) and Development section slimmed down to mention only the more significant dates and castings (but still keeping the dates and sources as references).
I encourage other editors to take a shot at cleaning up the section. I'll try to give it another go in the next few weeks, but since my previous effort was reverted without explanation I think it is important to explain my edits advance. -- 109.76.245.51 (talk) 20:11, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Sequels
[edit]It seems too early to add a Sequel section, before the Kick-Ass 2 is even released but Mark Millar has made it clear he already intends to make Kick-Ass 3 saying he intended it as a trilogy
I’ve known the last page of “Kick-Ass 3″ since I wrote Page 1 of the first series.
and his intention for there to be a second volume of Hit Girl. -- 109.76.245.51 (talk) 20:18, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
I just removed a sentence about Kick-Ass 3 being announced for Summer 2016. No such announcement has been made. There was no citation either. Also, Chloe Grace Moritz posting a picture of herself at a shooting range is not any type of indication for a sequel. Fan speculation being as it may, it does not belong here.- Hero 004Hero 004 (talk) 07:59, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]Why is genre so overtly detailed in this lead opposed to other superhero films? There is no source noting the action scnes or the comedy yet so I think it's best to leave it as a superhero film, like the others for now. Thoughts? Andrzejbanas (talk) 10:02, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
- It's been a few days with no replies, so I will change it back as there is no objection. Andrzejbanas (talk) 18:54, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
Unreliable sources
[edit]Comicbookmovie.com is not a reliable source, it is a user-submitted self-published source. Though the information contained may very well be correct, use of unreliable sources is violates Wikipedia policy. Please replace the tagged sources with more reliable sources.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:30, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Release
[edit]It seems the US release dates got shuffled around a bit. When someone writes the Release section they might mention it. If anyone has a source which gives information about why the studios did this rearranging or what they were trying to do that would also be interesting. -- 109.77.79.248 (talk) 00:57, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
