Why this article should not be deleted "yet"
[edit]This article has a speedy deletion tag, but I'm still adding content on it. Besides, I don't know what's the difference between LinuxCon and other events like QuakeCon (which could be seen as advertising for id Software), or MIX, which is a Microsoft event. I know that this is not a valid reason to keep it, but judjing with the number of articles specifically about LinuxCon on Linux Journal, ZDNet, CNET.com, etc... and the fact that this is not a conference organized by one company, I think this may be worthwhile to be kept. However, I leave other people judge of that, but please after I had time to flesh the article a little, and more, adding sources Hervegirod (talk) 13:18, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I've declined the speedy tag, but if you want to avoid this hassle in the future it might be a good idea to start articles in your userspace and flesh them out there until the article is ready to stand on its own legs :) henrik•talk 15:10, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I start to think that you are right. I did not know that a new article could have a speedy tag maybe one minute after its creation ;) But I think that this is a proof of the vitality of this project, and that people are always looking to improve it. And I'm not kidding. Hervegirod (talk) 16:21, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
