[edit]Was Worms actually the capital? Didn't the bishop have a seat in some nearby town that was actually within his territories? john k 16:39, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Terrible confusion!
[edit]What a mess.....The Diocese of Worms on one hand, and the Prince-Bishopric of Worms (which was smaller than the Diocese), on the other hand, were two different things and territorially, they did not coincide.
Since this article deals exclusively with the Prince-Bishopric (a political principality) and not the Diocese (an administrative religious unit), the title should urgently be changed from Roman Catholic Diocese of Worms to Prince-Bishopric of Worms.--Lubiesque (talk) 22:16, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- I agree. Srnec (talk) 03:27, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
- I see the change has been made. Thanks Srnec and TonyBallioni. --Lubiesque (talk) 22:26, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
