Add Album Page for Follow Me Down?

[edit]

There's a wiki page for a song, Follow Me Down, by another artist. As of Nov. 2011, Jarosz' album Follow Me Down is on US Billboard charts at #98 overall, #26 Rock Albums, #16 Independent Albums, #4 Folk Albums, #2 Bluegrass Albums. I don't have the time to create another page (including disambiguation, etc.), but I hope someone does.

Please act carefully

[edit]

My guess is that this page was added because of an NPR article that has just appeared today (June 14)

A Bluegrass Debutante, A High School Graduate

It would appear that she is up-and-coming, but I don't know what the criteria are for her to be "notable" enough to warrant an entry. But I would urge the powers-that-be not to act to precipitously.

I would argue that because of her recent popularity and importance among 'independant music' fans, she is important enough to warrant a Wikipedia entry. She's been played on several radio stations in my area, though I'm not sure how to cite that. Maybe I'll see if I can't find a playlist with her name on it? She's been on Austin City Limits with her band, and as a bandmember with Willie Nelson. Perhaps you've heard of him. 19 years old? She's an incredible musician. Plus, she's a little on the hot side. Please learn to spell "independent." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.176.1 (talk) 20:59, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jarosz at the SXSW Awards

[edit]

I've located a photo of Sarah Jarosz at the award ceremony at the SXSW Awards Ceremony, and if she is receiving an award, she would certainly be notable, as well as having a new photo! :) --Leahtwosaints (talk) 00:45, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

These sources do not ever belong in External links. I have moved the link farm there to this talk page where they do belong. Warning: I didn't check them over, so be careful in choosing any references here. Thank you. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 23:14, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Deleted "and means "vegetarian"" after her last name and explanation that the name is of polish origin. A search reveals that the meaning of her name as vegetarian is probably not true, but, if so pleases provide a cite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.21.107 (talk) 12:33, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's certainly what the word currently means in Polish (although it is at the moment not the most popular word for "vegetarian"): https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/jarosz -- 87.207.126.16 (talk) 18:02, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
