[edit]For such a time honored mainstay in the recording industry, there is not enough mention of some of the awards and technical innovations introduced by Tascam. I inserted the award to the DR-60D unit and a little about it. More than the technical details in the article, the unit is important in that it is a DSLR solution for photographers needing better sound. I may add some of the AB and XY portable audio recorders to the page since they also represent a breakthrough in portable audio. Most units by companies offer fix mic directions whereas Tascam has moveable mics for both AB and XY positioning. Perhaps this will catch on as an industry trend. Hard to say at this time.TriumvirateProtean (talk) 05:16, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Thankyou, this page has been woefully inadequate for a long time, and had some inaccurate info. Many TASCAM products have received industry recognition, I think the product list should be "Notable Products", which would be easily citable with these recognition links. 71.95.152.94 (talk) 16:03, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
I have spent a few days total adding a Notable products section, deleting spam and cleaning up the general dereliction of this article. That said, I have a WP:CONFLICT. Trying to be as Neutral as possible, this is the extent of my editing, but I will be back from time to time to check for graffiti/spam. Oumot (talk) 17:47, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

Create a Trivia section?
[edit]In section 'History' appears:
"TASCAM partnered with Philly punk band the Dead Milkmen and philanthropic record label The Giving Groove to sponsor a remix contest"
The above could later on be considered for deletion because of showing 'recentism' or insufficient relevance.
Suggestion (to avoid deletion): Create new 'Trivia' section in the article to hold this text. 85.48.187.139 (talk) 10:59, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
Edit/followup: Just had a thought, I think would be better to create the new section "Technical Innovations (& Awards)" instead. TASCAM has made considerable impact with the creation and development of a market of affordable yet professional quality product. I'm surprised not to see much here about it. The "TASCAM partnered with...." text I mentioned might sit better in such a section. 85.48.187.139 (talk) 11:13, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
