Untitled

[edit]

I can't seem to find a straight reliable answer... different websites say that the game was released in late 1995 or early 1996. Anyone have the confirmed date? I'm leaning towards 1996 since I remember the fuss over it being in DOS with Windows 95 out and popular. Coolgamer June 29, 2005 23:48 (UTC)

anagram

[edit]

the thing about the anagram is a spoiler for one of the puzzles in the game. maybe it should be removed.

Since it's such an old game, I doubt it will "ruin" it for too many—if any—users. — Frecklefoot | Talk 17:14, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Plus it's a pretty obvious anagram. Liam Markham (talk) 23:38, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date

[edit]

The release date for this game can be found at AllGame, which cites it as being released on December 13, 1995 for DOS. However, this game was also released for MAC and Windows 95 sometime in 1996, but I have yet to find an exact release date for those. Additionally, they were planning a 3DO release, but this was canceled as far as I can tell. --Brahman 19:18, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As an addendum to my comment, MobyGames has the release dates for the Windows and MAC versions, so I added them to the site. The DOS release date can be found at the aforementioned link. --Brahman 05:53, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Endings

[edit]

I removed this section. It's poorly written and could be completely wrong. The tone of it is also completely inappropriate. Can you imagine something like this appearing in a print encyclopedia? I've included it below:

There are three possible endings in the game depending on which of the three woman that the player chooses.
(As it was quite a long time since I played this Im writing this on memory alone, so might get something wrong)
  • Good Ending - choosing Samantha (Cant remember the ending itself)
  • Bad Ending 1 - Choose Robbin, you will be killed by her in a hotel room if I remember right. Guess the mansion corrupted or possessed her in some nasty way. Either way, she is no longer the good ol girlfriend that walked into the house.
  • Bad Ending 2 - Choose the 3 lady whose name or ending I can not remember.

Bad, bad, bad. I can't believe it stayed in the article for so long. — Frecklefσσt | Talk 12:36, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:The 11th Hour.jpg

[edit]

Image:The 11th Hour.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Groovie

[edit]

For some reason the link to Groovie, the engine goes to Groovy the slang term. This does not appear to be a redirect from Groovie, and seems to be a bug in Wikipedia itself, an autocorrect where there should not be one. Should the link go to a currently non-existent Groovie (engine) page? Hackwrench (talk) 00:47, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A bit of reorganizing and rewriting

[edit]

I had reason to watch the 11th Hour "movie" on Youtube this week, which consists of all the video clips in the game, so I took the opportunity to make some changes to the page. I moved the two first paragraphs of what was in the Plot, to Gameplay section. I figure the description of the GameBook's function and the merging of the Robin clips at the end of each hour, was better suited to that area. But the short plot description in the first paragraph, helps a reader understand what the GameBook is, before it introduces its function.

And now the Plot section doesn't have first a plot summary and then a detailed plot, it just has the latter.

Also fixed some typos and grammatical errors. The punctuation/capitalization of GameBook was inconsistent, so I went with the capital B and no space, based on the emblem on the device. And obviously I rewrote some sections of the plot which weren't inaccurate or not explained clearly. CleverTitania (talk) 19:11, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
