I'm a baseball fan, but I don't know a lot about the Phillies. Anybody is welcome to add to this template I made. Enjoy!
Important figures
[edit]Anyone knowledgeable willing to help me trim this list through discussion and careful consideration? This list got huge sometime during the month when I was not here and it really needs some help. KV5 • Squawk box • Fight on! 20:53, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
I think there's a significant bias towards members of the 2008 Phillies World Series squad. Victorino and Brett Meyers, especially, while certainly contributors to the 2008 effort, are questionable as "historic" figures in the franchise. Utley, Rollins, and Howard will be enduring names (Utley for his class and all-around athleticism, Rollins for his tenure, Howard for his offensive production), and it's probably too early to call Cole Hamels prominent, but I'd venture a guess and say that if he re-signs with the Phillies after this year, he deserves to be on the list (as one of the best postseason pitchers ever.) 150.209.47.82 (talk) 21:03, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Color change
[edit]The colors didn't all match, so I'm changing them all to the color red identified by the main infobox on the Phillies page. --Muboshgu (talk) 03:41, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- What colors didn't match? From what I can see, all of the colors were changed from A50024 to D10707. We use the darker red because it's not so horribly glaring. KV5 (Talk • Phils) 11:48, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Excess terminology
[edit]The article "Macho Row" was deleted. The other articles don't exist either. This is not the sort of thing that belongs in this navigational template. There is no reason to have links to duplicate articles. These links already exist in the navbox. KV5 (Talk • Phils) 01:16, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
I'll repeat what I said in July: there's no reason to duplicate links in the navbox. If you think a topic like the Whiz Kids has enough reliable sources to warrant its own independent article, please feel free to write it. However, duplicating season links under a pipe doesn't make any sense and doesn't provide any navigational ability that the season links don't already provide. Wrong shade of red
[edit]The red used in the current selection is too dull to be "Phillies red." Pictures will show that the red is much brighter. SSUR doesn't have all the correct colors and many times will dull a color for legal reasons. Please change to actual "Phillies red."JaMikePA (talk) 22:34, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- Project members have spoken regarding this issue at the WP:BASEBALL talk page and it was determined by consensus that the navboxes do not have to match the team colors exactly, because many of the team colors are too bright to allow for easy use and proper reading. The SSUR red is much easier to read. KV5 (Talk • Phils) 22:41, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Dan Baker
[edit]Dan Baker has been part of the Phillies since 1972 I just would like to have your input, as to whether he should be included in the template. We will not add it without approval at this time. -- SNIyer12, (talk), 00:55 10 October 2010 (UTC)
- He doesn't meet any of the criteria to be included in the sections of this navbox, so probably not, even with as important as he is. — KV5 • Talk • 16:11, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Roy Halladay's #34 is not yet retired. His retirement ceremony was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. 2601:204:DC00:5A20:B92A:6612:63F0:3D3C (talk) 23:40, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

The Phillies retired numbers should be rearranged in numerical order. 2601:204:DC80:D8E0:4A6:513E:B4F9:E2F4 (talk) 20:15, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
