User:Kousin Kevin

This user is a participant in WikiProject Metal.

 Kousin Kevin is a Heavy Metal Guitarist, lyricist, and songwriter. 

Also a lifelong Punk Rock fan, he is dedicated to the eventual successful fusion of Pop-Punk, with it's major key melodies and chord progressions, with the instrumentation of Metal, specifically the Thrash, Death, Black, and Doom sub-genres. So far the "Trash-Pop" experiments have gone well, resulting in a home demo.

He and a drummer friend of his heavily involved with the project (not a wikipedia user, whose name shall not be stated here) are currently looking for other instrumentalists interested in the project. 

 Kevin is also dedicated to the "opening up" of metal to new fans. He has noticed that constantly, 

new fans, not as familiar with the genre, and not as well versed in it's history are rejected out of hand from serious discussions of the bands and sub genres of metal. He would prefer an environment where education on the topic is encouraged, instead of rejection of anyone with less than a doctorate's worth of knowledge on the genre
