Changing date formats
[edit]Please review the Manual of Style regarding date formats. The 'rules' are rather complex; however, there is no "right" date format the requires "fixing", per se. Inconsistent date formats should be conformed to the same style; that style is defined largely by which style is most prevalent in the article. In other cases, "strong national ties" guide the formatting. Mainly I would counsel caution in making large-scale changes to existing date schemes. Note also that on some articles the date format is defined at the top of the article, within the editor - along the lines of "{{Use dmy dates|date=March 2020}}". I'd recommend always checking for that before making changes. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 19:06, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
