Please stop changing the order of parents, especially as you are doing so en masse and with a potentially misleading edit summary, which could be assumed to be an attempt to conceal your agenda. DuncanHill (talk) 22:50, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your point entirely; my actions in this vein were in response to those of user Triptropic, whose editing history will show that they, under the pretext of 'minor style' edits- noted and criticised many times on their talk page with no effect- are endeavouring to place mothers' names first in as many articles as possible even where counterintuitive. Apologies for any disruption I may have caused, but I believe it is important that Triptropic not be allowed to get away with whatever their agenda is, as Wikipedia is not anyone's personal playground.
Changing it all back is just as much of an agenda as changing them all the other way. And you need to use better edit summaries. DuncanHill (talk) 22:57, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I quite agree with you. I suppose the element that interests me is that I have been pulled up for this, but Triptropic, as usual, escapes notice under the umbrella of 'minor edits', despite this having been questioned several times on their talk page. This is perplexing, particularly when, as I previously mentioned, their edit history (as with mine, which you rightly pointed out) consists of article after article edited as 'minor edit' changing the order of parents for no real reason other than that Triptropic is an ardent feminist (apparently) and sees fit to engage in this activity. To forestall the necessity of any such unprofitable back-and-forth editing in the future I would be interested in your recommendation with regard to having User:Triptropic's agenda-pushing rectified also.
Please stop your edit spree of changing birth dates for no apparent reason and revert the ones you have made. Xxanthippe (talk) 23:03, 4 January 2020 (UTC).[reply]
Are you addressing DuncanHill, or me? As the above conversation indicates my recent spate of edits was in response to User:Triptropic's profitless inversion of the names of parents, and I don't recall changing any birth dates. Please direct me to (a) specific instance(s) of this activity on my part.

Anyway, points above well made and have been taken; I've contacted an administrator regarding Triptropic and hopefully they can sort their issues out. Thank you both for contacting me with your concerns, although I do feel they might more profitably be directed at the aforementioned problematic user. My own evidently untoward edits shall end here at any rate so you need not be concerned further.
