Harassment
[edit]Publishing someone's personal details is considered harassment, even when attempting to "expose" a conflict of interest. From WP:COI:
- When investigating COI editing, be careful not to reveal the identity of editors against their wishes. Wikipedia's policy against harassment takes precedence over this guideline.
Your nomination here attempts to do exactly that. I think most editors were happy to assume good faith and accept you might not be aware of particular policies. But you have since posted messages to other editors "drawing attention" to your claims and making new ones, effectively outing all over again. You willingness to accuse others of a conflict suggests you have read the WP:COI policy, including the line above. So further attempts to "expose" another editor's identity are no longer amoral. Please stop. Stalwart111 06:58, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi. I read WP:OUTING which says "Posting another editor's personal information is harassment, unless that person voluntarily had posted his or her own information, or links to such information, on Wikipedia". This file [1] has the text "Author= Wwwhatsup |Permission= credit: punkcast " which makes clear association between the wikipedia account and Punkcast. [2] is posted by Wwwhatsup and has "Joly MacFie" as the author listed. If you click on Joly MacFie it goes to Wwwhatsup account. I think then I'm not violaing and policies since he posted it all on wikipedia, and still think it is strange he refers to himself in third person. Please tell me if I'm wrong, thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 07:19, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Which could mean the username was chosen as a tribute or that the user has a connection (but not a direct connection) to some subjects, or represents someone here. The rule you cite is not to cover instances where someone's lax trail-hiding means you can "dig up" a presumed result or conclusion. It's for instances where someone says, "I am X in real life" and then later wishes they hadn't, or where someone refers to them by their real name as a result. You have "dug dirt" and drawn a conclusion, then breached one of WP's most serious rules as a result. Posting your dirt-digging "research" above to DRV does not help your case. Strongly suggest you remove it. Stalwart111 07:36, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Disagree with how you interpret it, if you were right that they have to be explicit it would not say "links to information". The picture I linked to is recent. He is consistent about it until this AFD. MarioNovi (talk) 07:40, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- The "links to information" is about links to Facebook or a personal website. At no point has the editor said, "I am X" - that is entirely a conclusion of your research. It doesn't matter how accurate your research might be, you don't have permission to post the information and the intention was clearly to out an editor as "evidence" in your COI claim. Your intention was to "expose" the COI and you did so in a way that clearly breached the rules. Now having been made explicitly aware, you have compounded the issue by claiming the harassment was justified. Stalwart111 07:49, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Still disagree with how you interpret it but [3] links to Joly MacFie's facebook profile. So is that more like what you want. He has also admitted to a COI. MarioNovi (talk) 07:54, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- That isn't posted on Wikipedia, that's an unrelated personal website. Other than your presumption, what is the link between that site and the editor here? You may well be right, but you still don't have the right to publish your presumption here. What's to say the editor here is not that person's son, or business partner, or wife? The editor has acknowledged a conflict of interest; so what? He still hasn't said, "I am X", so even if he was, you still don't have the right to say it for him. You are making the situation worse by suggesting you somehow had a right to attempt an outing based on personal research and assumptions. You didn't and you still don't. Next stop WP:ANI and we'll see if admins hold the same liberal "justified" view of WP:HARASSMENT as you. Harassment is never justified, no matter how righteous or noble you believe your cause might be. Stalwart111 08:14, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

- I can strike it because it has nothing to do with DRV anyway, you confused me. But I would also like you to go to ANI so someone else can explain the policy to me sO I can see you are not the only one interpreting it that way. Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 09:11, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- I would strongly suggest you remove your "research" from this page and that one. Striking those parts of your comments is a very good start. I have collapsed our subsequent discussion at DRV on that basis. I re-posted my DRV-only-related opinion and won't object if you want to re-post that part of your commentary that related to my comments.
- If you really want to progress the COI complaint then you can take it to the Conflict of Interest Noticeboard but be aware they have a very low tollerance for and a very acute awareness of harassment policy. You would probably need to demonstrate how the COI has impacted on editing. Your having taken two "related" articles to AFD might not be sufficient. Given the editor has acknowledged a conflict, just recording as much forcthe sake of it might be considered a personal attack. Just need to watch out.
- I won't take this to ANI (also known as the "drama boards") now that you have demonstrated a willingness to resolve the matter. ANI is for incidents and I think the "incident" here is on its way to being resolved. Besides which, having been there plenty of times, I can guarantee it won't end well. There's not a lot of lattitude given, especially for harassment-related matters. But if you feel that my warning was out of line, by all means feel free to ask an admin to chime in with their own view. They can do so here or on my talk page. You are, of course, free to take it to ANI also, but "beware the boomerang". But I'm happy to discuss it there if you feel we can't move on with a few retractions. Answering the question
[edit]As a rule of thumb, linking to anything in the WMF space (e.g. en.wikipedia.org, commons.wikipedia.org) is considered okay, but external references, including descriptions of google searches, should be avoided. In any event it's not necessary to reference the author(s) of articles when submitting them to Afd, as the article should stand or fall on its merits. NE Ent 12:51, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I added a reply on my talk page to your post. -- Jreferee (talk) 22:14, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
Re:
[edit]I, and others, assumed good faith to an extent far beyond that afforded to most editors. Instead of simply reporting you to Oversight I raised (very serious) issues on your talk page to allow you to address them. You addressed them by arguing with me, then took the issue back to DRV and then to ANI and COIN to argue your case some more and present your "evidence" all over again. Sorry, but if you were genuinely keen to move on (especially after the other editor acknowledged the conflict you alleged) you could have stopped flogging your dead horse long, long ago. Instead you chose to ramp it up. There's nothing good faith about that. Whether you're a new editor unwilling to learn or an old editor with a grudge and a new name, I don't care any more. Ent's advice was good and I said as much - I should have taken this to Oversight from day one instead of trying to "educate". I've learned my lesson. That the editor in question has chosen to forgive you is, I think, admirable and a credit to him. He deserves our humble respect and your apology. But you'll have to forgive me if I can't do the same. Stalwart111 08:58, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 5
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited New York Noise, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rough Trade (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Music tags
[edit]I don't know that there was any clear consensus on the issue, due to so few people commenting on it, so, according to WP:RFC, we should probably seek formal closure. It might take a few days to find a volunteer, but you could try the admin noticeboard. Honestly, I don't think anyone will really care if you just close it yourself, but it never hurts to follow the suggested guidelines. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:41, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
More music tags
[edit]Sorry, I got caught up in doing some other stuff. I meant to reply, but I didn't get around to it. It looks like we might want to talk to WP:WikiProject Music and WP:WikiProject Event Venues. "Event Venues" looks kind of dead, though. I'm not sure what to say, but I guess we could try asking if there's ever been any consensus on the matter of listing bands in venues. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been any consensus, but it's difficult to tell sometimes, with all the archives and obscure guidelines. They might not even want to set any kind of guideline, as some people consider that to be unnecessary bureaucracy. I usually work more on film-related articles, rather than music, so I'm not familiar with these WikiProjects or their articles. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 00:20, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I will remain uninvolved from now on, if you wish to pursue the matter further I would suggest DRN or perhaps an RfC. Orphaned non-free media (File:Robandfabcover.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Robandfabcover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Hi
[edit]Hi Mario, I hope all is ok with you. Are you going to pick up on the issues raised re: Jeff Berlin? - Sitush (talk) 20:10, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hi what issues do you mean? I have not found good sources for any other information I removed. If you mean discography I did not want to argue with Wwwwhatsup any more I thought we were supposed to stay separated. but it looks like his references are poor, and not formatted the right way even after he complained about mine, am I not seeing it right? Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 04:52, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- There was info in those external links. I haven't checked Wwwhatsup's citations because they have not added any to the article and are responding to me on the talk page. - Sitush (talk) 08:11, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- I did not see a lot of interest in those, did I miss something? It is alot about how he plays but nothing else, no biographical information. I added a little. I don't find anything useful in the path of palms link, do you? Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 04:38, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- I've asked about Path of Palms on the article talk page. There is certainly more to be taken from the interview in Global Bass, eg: his attitude to metronomes and other rhythm methods, the fact that he played he violin for quite a while and that he owns Players School (being "associated" is a very different thing). One of the arts of building content is to mine sources for all the possible relevant information - look for opportunities. Both that citation and the Bass Musician Magazine one need expanding using either {{cite web}} or {{cite news}} - since they both seem to be online magazines, the web one would probably be better. - Sitush (talk) 08:42, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- I added part about Players School but is it a good enough source for that? I'm not sure, it's why I didn't add it. Anything not biographical maybe should have a better source? I saw the discussion on the talk page about path of palsm but do not feel safe deleting it because Wwwwhatsup is the one who put it back on the page, what should I do? Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 05:14, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- Mario, I'm really sorry but somehow I missed your last query above. To answer your last question first, it has now been a few day since I asked the question about Path of Palms on the talk page. If everyone has agreed that it should be removed then you can do that, perhaps with an edit summary along the lines of "remove per discussion on talk page". I think that jazz musicians etc are something of a niche topic: there will be specialist print- and web-media that often has low circulation/readership. Does the interview in Global Bass read like a real interview or does it seem to be made up? If it does not seem to be fictional then I think it will be fine to use. If in doubt then you could ask at WP:RSN, mentioning the points that you might put in the article that are based on the source; in this instance, there is no need for that because I'll protect your back. However, you could also always ask for opinions on the article talk page before using it and that might be A Good Thing to do here, if only out of courtesy to others who have edited the article recently. I don't think you'll have any problems and if you do then you can blame me! - Sitush (talk) 08:47, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- It reads like a real interview but the information besides what is already in the article seems very specific and too detailed for the article. It is about his philosophy not his history, is that still appropriate? Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 05:43, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- I only glanced through it the other day. I'll have a proper read of the thing today and let you know. Top marks, by the way, for asking about things when you are unsure, both here and on various other talk pages. That is the way forward for collaborative building of this project. - Sitush (talk) 06:38, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you, did you look at the external links issue yet? MarioNovi (talk) 06:45, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Oh yes, I eventually waded through that, although I can't promise you that I saw every twist and turn because it has spread over a large number of venues. I think that you are flogging a dead horse there, sorry. I understand your concerns about the utility etc of linking to punkcast but, like it or not, you have got nowhere with it. I'm still unsure about the validity of the thing myself but you have tried various processes and failed, so it is probably best to move on. If the problem is sufficiently significant then it will be spotted by someone else in the future and perhaps they will have more success in achieving the outcome that you desire. Right now, you need to pick and choose your battles or, preferably, try to avoid battles completely. I know that crappy stuff happens but this is a big place and there are plenty of other things that could use your attention. There is no dishonour in raising an issue and failing to get the outcome that you wish; but continuing to push the point will eventually cause people to lose patience. I have the feeling that you, Wwwhatsup and Stalwart might find it difficult to disengage from each other but, at least, please try to move forward and let bygones be bygones. Trust me, it isn't worth agonising over something like this any longer, frustrating although that conclusion may seem. - Sitush (talk) 10:41, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Shopping
[edit]Mario, this forum shopping is not acceptable. Please retract it because if you do not I will be seeking a block on the basis of disruption. Numerous people have examined this issue, I've recently joined their ranks and I've also tried to give you some guidance in other areas. You need to drop this stick or go find some place else to spend time on the internet, sorry. - Sitush (talk) 05:41, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, I've reverted you. If you open a RfC or similarly question that punkcast external link anywhere else again, I'll ensure that you find yourself out of here. It has gone on long enough, it is disruptive and you cannot keep hiding behind the excuse that you are a new user. - Sitush (talk) 05:53, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- I did the forum shopping because I wanted an opinion on it. I got opinions on it, no one thinks the links are good. Except Wwwwhatsup. Can I just remove them instead? If I can't, why not? The only reason I did forum shopping was as courtesy to Wwwwhatsup. I could have just removed them over and over, but I did not. I see how it works if I try to do the right thing, I am sure Stalwar and Wwwhatsup will celebrate now. Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 07:01, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- OK, maybe I missed the "no one thinks the links are good" in my review. Please can you provide some links to where people have said that. - Sitush (talk) 07:03, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- I already gave this information here [4]. I am very sorry I cannot take this longer I see what kind of site this is, where experienced users can use it to post links to their business and if someone wants to remove it, they are the bad one. MarioNovi (talk) 07:17, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, I saw those. The odd person (including myself) making a comment outside of a formalised discussion (of which you have initiated several) is not grounds to overturn consensus. I still think it is not a great idea for Wwwhatsup to be involved with this stuff if they do have a connection to punkcast, and I do personally think that punkcast is a poor thing to link, but my own opinion counts for little. So does yours. I am confident that, one day, Wwwhatsup will get their come-uppance if they are indeed pushing a conflict of interest but you really need to let it go. - Sitush (talk) 07:21, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- Your opinion counts for little and mine does and everyone else's does that commented that I showed you, so why does Wwwwhatsup and Stalwart opinion count for more? MarioNovi (talk) 07:25, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

- Also do not think I violate WP:FORUMSHOP because this says you cannot keep looking until you get consensus that you want. I did not get consensus at all so I believe it is a very different case. MarioNovi (talk) 07:35, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) I can see you, NBound and SubSeven vs Wwwhatsup and Acorruptionfreeindia at the 3O/RfC link you gave me. WP:3O is pretty useless as a mechanism and the RfC didn't really get any traction, although Acorruptionfreeindia's point was useless.
I am more than happy to remove all those links for you if you can show me something more solid than that. I do strongly believe that they should not be on Wikipedia and I do believe that they may be driving traffic to a sort-of commercial website. What I am not seeing is a great consensus either way. - Sitush (talk) 07:38, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- I am trying to find the right forum where people can be interested so we can find consensus, isn't this the correct thing to do? MarioNovi (talk) 07:43, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- Not if you become tendentious by shopping around everywhere. Look, your case is not helped when you cite diffs such as [this, which was an edit made by Wwwhatsup in 2008 but seems to have disappeared from the article by 2012. Why did you think it necessary to rake up such an old example in 2013? - Sitush (talk) 07:48, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- BTW, there seem to be a little over 90 links to punkcast at the moment. I'll go through each one, if you want. - Sitush (talk) 07:50, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- He added many more than that, it appears many have been removed like [5] [6]. If most have been removed this also sounds like consensus that they don't belong and people just have not found all of them, yes? MarioNovi (talk) 16:38, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- I think that might be treading on dodgy ground. It is just possible that some may be appropriate. I face a similar issue more or less every day with regard to the use of British Raj sources on articles relating to India. I am talking with Wwwhatsup now and they are (understandably) not particularly happy with some things that I have done. Probably the best thing that you can do right now is to keep out of it. Obviously, I cannot stop you from commenting but you've made a few naive procedural mistakes in the recent past and those may have muddied the waters. The policy issues regarding articles that Www has been involved with seem generally to be very straightforward, whether with regard to external links or sourcing etc. Obviously, they are not responsible for all the the dubious material that has ended up in the things. - Sitush (talk) 00:55, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
- I have tried to stay away from these issues, it looks like you have too. I'm sorry that I involved you in such issues. MarioNovi (talk) 07:13, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
- He added many more than that, it appears many have been removed like [5] [6]. If most have been removed this also sounds like consensus that they don't belong and people just have not found all of them, yes? MarioNovi (talk) 16:38, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- BTW, there seem to be a little over 90 links to punkcast at the moment. I'll go through each one, if you want. - Sitush (talk) 07:50, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- I am trying to find the right forum where people can be interested so we can find consensus, isn't this the correct thing to do? MarioNovi (talk) 07:43, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
Wwwhatsup
[edit]If you comment about Wwwhatsup anywhere on Wikipedia during the next three months, I'm going to seek a formal ban. This behaviour has gone on for long enough and you have had plenty of advice. When the current AN3 proceedings are over, please let that be the end of it. - Sitush (talk) 07:29, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- What do I do if he continues stalk me like at Jeff Berlin? MarioNovi (talk) 07:31, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- You walk away. Both you and they are on very thin ice here and, believe me, I'll see you both topic banned unless you both start to behave. The disruption being caused by the pair of you is ridiculous: there are 4 million articles to have a go at here and you could create many more that have nothing at all to do with music - if they follow you to those then, yes, they will have a major problem. - Sitush (talk) 07:34, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- I am sorry maybe you do not understand my question. If they follow me to those and no one notices, what do I do, if I cannot mention them? MarioNovi (talk) 07:36, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- I will see it. - Sitush (talk) 07:40, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- They say I malformed report, can I try again? MarioNovi (talk) 17:09, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- You could but I really would not advise it. Even if you were to get your way, all that would result is a short block and then you and Www would be back exactly where you started. It could also quite easily boomerang on you. It just seems like point-scoring and that is the antithesis of what we are supposed to be doing here, which is working in a collaborative manner. You need to pick your fights carefully, if you must fight at all. Let it go. - Sitush (talk) 17:18, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- Ok thank you you are handling it very good and I am learning from it. I am bothered when he tells lies about me like here [7] because I never put an AfD, but now I am expecting more of it. I think maybe he is just confused. Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 23:30, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm Technopat. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Vinnie Colaiuta without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Technopat (talk) 15:30, 11 November 2013 (UTC) (Striking my template) --Technopat (talk) 18:10, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
- I did explain why also it was unreferenced. Thank you, MarioNovi (talk) 15:42, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
- Greetings MarioNovi. You did indeed leave an edit summary. Sorry for the misunderstanding: my note above is a standard template used for removal of content and I forgot about that tag referring to the edit summary. Regarding the actual edit, the best thing would be to propose the creation of the corresponding discography page (see Wikipedia:Splitting) and, once you have consensus, request an admin to move the history. Otherwise, if you just copy and paste it to a new page you lose the record of other users' edits. Regards, --Technopat (talk) 18:10, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I have opened an RfC on articles about living members of families whose ancestors were deposed as monarchs of various countries and the titles and "styles" attributed to these living people, often in a misleading way and inaccurate way in my opinion. [edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tom Anderson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hacker (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please join the discussion on Talk:Glengarry Glen Ross (film)
[edit]Hello! I am soliciting comments for an RfC that is currently open on the "Glengarry Glen Ross (film)" page. There is disagreement about where the film was set (New York vs. Chicago).
One of the issues is whether it is original research to cite to elements in the film itself (including props, dialogue, and a statement in the end credits that it was "filmed on location in New York City") to establish setting.
Response so far in the RfC has been mixed. Comments welcome! Xanthis (talk) 13:58, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Biography feedback requested
[edit]Your input is requested about an RFC regarding Donald Trump. Here is a link directly to that RFC. The lead of that biography currently says, "Many of his statements in interviews, on Twitter, and at campaign rallies have been controversial." The RFC proposes to insert the words "or false" at the end of that sentence. Thank you in advance for participating. If you have the time, there is a second RFC at that talk page which proposes to instead add the words "or hyperbolic".Anythingyouwant (talk) 01:01, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Boujemaa Razgui
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Boujemaa Razgui requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. SITH (talk) 14:14, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
Please comment on Talk:Libertarianism
[edit]Please comment on the discussion regarding the use of the term "right libertarian" to describe libertarians that do not oppose free markets, and that do not make a clear distinction between laissez-faire capitalism and advocacy of free markets. This discussion can be found on the talk page for the Libertarianism article. The term is primarily used in a derogatory way and by self-described "left-libertarians". The individuals described in that article, and in the poorly-titled right-libertarianism article do not typically identify with the political right - or the political for that matter. You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service
[edit]Hi MarioNovi! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over three years.
In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in three years or more.
You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:
- Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
- Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
- Paste
{{Frs user|{{subst:currentuser}}|limit}}
underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month. - Publish the page.
If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.
Note that if you had a rename and left your old name on the FRS page, you may be receiving this message. If so, make sure your new account name is on the FRS list instead.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:26, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
