DJ Foxx Tha Roc

[edit]

Been editing an article and it hasn't been approved when even after adding citations what may be the problem? The article is "DJ Foxx Tha Roc" Francinelumbala (talk) 01:16, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. The problem is that the "Articles for Creation" is a toxic and dysfunctional process. Drafts waiting there are often held to higher gate-keeping standards than we expect from the average stub that is already published.
The good news is that, because you meet the criteria for "autoconfirmed" user status, you are allowed to create pages directly in the "main" (article) namespace yourself. So I strongly recommend skipping the "Draft" namespace completely.
But first (and this is very important), create a user page so your name appears in blue rather than red. This will make it less obvious that you are a new user, and everything you create will suddenly be treated with more respect.
Next, you can either begin creating articles the normal way (like this) or by moving the existing draft into the article namespace (like this).
Also, don't forget to add categories. Happy editing. ―cobaltcigs 13:43, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Minor fixes to userscripts

[edit]

Hey Cobaltcigs, it looks like you've got some user scripts in use by others that have bare javascript global wg-style variables. These are phab:T72470 deprecated, and while I don't think there's a timeline for their removal, it's been that way for a while. It's usually a straightforward fix, all uses need to use mw.config.get, such as converting wgTitle to mw.config.get('wgTitle'). There's some more info at mw:ResourceLoader/Migration guide (users)#Global wg variables. I can take care of cleaning them up for you if you like, or give you a full list if you want to handle it, just let me know! ~ Amory (utc) 12:15, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

[edit]

Hi Cobaltcigs! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|Cobaltcigs|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! Notice

The article Henry Fairchild (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This disambiguation page contains the primary topic and one other topic for the ambiguous title and no other topics can be found within a reasonable time.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:02, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

IllWill.js edit summary

[edit]

If I invoke User:Cobaltcigs/IllWill.js after some other edits and I have recorded them in the edit summary, that edit summary will unfortunately be overwritten. It would be better if the script's edit summary were appended to an existing one. I'm no expert on JavaScript, but it occurs to me that changing in line 162 the operator = to += would fix that. Then again, it might need more elaborate coding. I would appreciate it if you could look into this. Cheers. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:14, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Re User:Cobaltcigs/HistoryGraph.js, I'm looking for a way to create an image file containing the entire graph and only the graph. To date, the best I have done is to (1) scroll to the most relevant part of the graph and (2) take a screenshot. Your Download button doesn't seem to offer the solution; I haven't found a way to display its output as an image.

Looks like you're not around much anymore, but I'm patient. Just ping me. ―Mandruss  19:48, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
