Terms "known professionally as" vs "better known by his/her stage name"
[edit]Why do think "known professionally as" is only allowed on that article. It doesn't. What's wrong with "better known by her stage name". SuperSuperSonic207 (talk) 22:24, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- Because “known professionally as” is the standard lead-in for most pages about artists that use a stage name. GraziePrego (talk) 01:15, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah right. Not every article on rappers needs that term. You should know that "known professionally as" is not necessarily the lead-in term at all. It can be "better known by his/her stage name". But no you think that's not the lead in term. It sometimes is, not just "known professionally as". Your not making any sense at all. SuperSuperSonic207 (talk) 03:54, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
- What's the rationale for changing one to the other? You changed a series of articles from "known professionally as" to "better known by stage name", what's wrong with "known professionally as"? GraziePrego (talk) 00:36, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- I see someone has already very eloquently communicated this to you:
- @CAMERAwMUSTACHE is 100% correct, you are the one making the change from how it was before, and it does not flow as well as "known professionally as". GraziePrego (talk) 01:09, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- It just doesn't need to be said on every articles on rappers. That's all. And why do you think that "known professionally as" flows better than "better known by his/her stage name"? It doesn't necessarily. They both are similar terms and the latter isn't just about performing the stage. Can't you see I was trying to help you. BUT NO. WHENEVER I REWORD ANY RAPPER'S ARTICLES, YOUR ALWAYS GONNA DO THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN BECAUSE YOU THINK IT'S NOT WORTH SAYING "BETTER KNOWN BY HIS/HER STAGE NAME", ONLY "KNOWN PROFESSIONALLY AS". WHAT IS IT THAT YOU DON'T GET IT. HOW DOES "KNOWN PROFESSIONALLY AS" FLOWS BETTER THAN "BETTER KNOWN BY HIS/HER STAGE NAME? IT DOSEN'T.SuperSuperSonic207 (talk) 16:15, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- You are edit warring on a number of pages simultaneously, and now leaving all-caps rants on my talk page. I have reported you for edit warring. GraziePrego (talk) 02:37, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- What's the rationale for changing one to the other? You changed a series of articles from "known professionally as" to "better known by stage name", what's wrong with "known professionally as"? GraziePrego (talk) 00:36, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

Ernest Pinkney
[edit]Grace I've updated Ernest Pinkney's page as his direct descendant. He's my great great grandad. All of the information we jave added has been verified as we've done research into his life and career. I added it for the benefit of Wikipedia Users. Please can I appeal your action to remove it all? Sefton 2023 (talk) 08:05, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- What you are describing is original research. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_original_research .
- Unless you can provide verifiable citations for all of your additions, the content cannot be added. Without those citations, it is impossible to tell whether the content you are adding is accurate. Anyone could claim to be his direct descendant.
- If you do have proper citations for the content that you can cite within the wikipedia page, then adding it is fine. GraziePrego (talk) 08:08, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
Thanks Grace, all of what I've added is referenced in the University of Wolverhampton article written by my dad who has a degree in history: https://www.wlv.ac.uk/research/research-centres/centre-for-historical-research/football-and-war-network/football-and-war-blog/2023/the-football-and-war-story-of-the-ernest-pinkney-family/ and in terms of Ernest Pinkney's date of death. I can send you a picture of his headstone with this on if you can use this as evidence? Sefton 2023 (talk) 08:12, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- Ive just uploaded the image of Ernie's headstone, so you can see his date of death. Its on Wikipedia Common - Ernest_Pinkney's_Headstone.jpg Sefton 2023 (talk) 08:16, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- If there's content supported by that article, then go ahead and re-add it. Make sure you cite the article when you do so though :)
- The headstone could be added to the article in support of the death date too. GraziePrego (talk) 08:18, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
- Brill, thanks Grace I'll re-upload Sefton 2023 (talk) 08:19, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
Date headers for user-talkpage messages
[edit]Thanks for vandal-patrolling! I see you have left some messages on user-talkpages when you undo their edits, which is nice. I think at least some of those editors will be confused by the date headers you used, as will other editors who come back to those talkpages if the vandalism continues. Dates like "11/9/23" are ambiguous, and definitely have the wrong meaning for most US readers. You mean "day/month/year" but others might read it as "month/day/year", or even "year/month/day". It's safer to write the month-name itself and the year as all four digits. DMacks (talk) 04:37, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Good point thank you! Will do :) GraziePrego (talk) 04:38, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
thank you
[edit]Thanks for the The Helping Hand Barnstar award. As you already know, I hardly deserve it. I am pretty much an inexperienced editor also. Of course, at first I assumed that the editor (Closer1616) was just a very annoying vandal, accidentally or purposefully messing up the article info-box. And thank you for catching his vandalism so quickly (twice). But when I realized (belatedly) that the editor indeed intended to name the person Reese Denny Alsop Gilder Palmer (after eventually overlooking the distracting formatting errors he accidentally made), I knew that the editor was the real thing (sincere), as this Palmer is a real person who also is indeed a great-grandson of Richard Watson Gilder (the subject of the article) and also a half brother (and second cousin simultaneously) of George Franklin Gilder (pretty much a famous author and economist, cofounder of the Discovery Institute think tank, and another great-grandson of Richard Watson Gilder). Like you, I realized that Closer1616 just happened to be a completely new (inexperienced) editor who did not know any of the rules or procedures -- whatsoever -- associated with WP. Closer1616 is also a great-grandson of Richard Watson Gilder. I felt that I had to apologize to him given the situation and my misunderstanding of it. Thanks again. --L.Smithfield (talk) 08:38, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- You absolutely do deserve it! :) Thank you and happy editing. GraziePrego (talk) 01:34, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
Hello, GraziePrego,
Please use Twinkle to tag pages for deletion and set up your Twinkle Preferences to "Notify page creator". When you tag an article for a Proposed Deletion, you should state this in the edit summary and also post a notification on the talk page of the article creator. When you use Twinkle, it will take care of these steps for you. These are important steps in the deletion process so please become acquainted with Twinkle or, if you don't want to use this editing tool, please post these notices on the article creator's talk pages yourself and start leaving an informed edit summary.
If you have questions about Twinkle, you can bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:35, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, that's much easier actually. GraziePrego (talk) 03:43, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

- NO WAY GraziePrego (talk) 01:37, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
I found a second review for this book; I think it’s notable based on 2 independent reviews. There’s also a Kirkus Review for which I didn’t add a link (yet). According to WP:RSNP, Kirkus reviews are reliable sources but with one specified exception do not establish notability (this book doesn’t meet the exception).
Thanks for all your work screening old articles for deletion. —A. B. (talk • contribs • global count) 15:36, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Great work finding that review- I had a look myself but couldn’t see one, I ended up finding a very old version of the publisher’s website which was interesting though haha
- I agree that it now meets notability thanks to your improvement :) GraziePrego (talk) 21:20, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
Draft:International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems
[edit]Hi,
You reported Draft:International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems as having copyright problems. I've looked into it and the source of the copying is under a compatible CC license so the only think needed was to add the appropriate attribution. As you declined the draft as a copyright violation, you may want to reevaluate it again without the issue of the copyright violation. -- Whpq (talk) 20:54, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for looking into that- will do. GraziePrego (talk) 23:56, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

Invitation
[edit]- Hello GraziePrego, we need experienced volunteers.
- New Page Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles. We could use a few extra hands on deck if you think you can help.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; Wikipedia needs experienced users to perform this task and there are precious few with the appropriate skills. Even a couple reviews a day can make a huge difference.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision (if it looks daunting, don't worry, it basically boils down to checking CSD, notability, and title). If this looks like something that you can do, please consider joining us.
- If you would like to join the project and help out, please see the granting conditions. You can apply for the user-right HERE.
- If you have questions, please feel free to drop a message at the reviewer's discussion board.
- Cheers, and hope to see you around.

New page reviewer granted
[edit]Hi GraziePrego. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group. Please check back at the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:
- Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
- If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
- Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page, including checking for copyright violations using Earwig's copyright violation detector, checking for duplicate articles, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a Google search) for compliance with the general notability guideline.
- Please review some of our flowcharts (1, 2) to help ensure you don't forget any steps.
- Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. signed, Rosguill talk 03:56, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

– robertsky (talk) 14:18, 19 January 2024 (UTC)

Anna Burke
[edit]Hi GraziePrego, I've begun working on the copy-edit you requested at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page for the article Anna Burke. Please feel free to contact me and to correct or revert my edits if necessary. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 21:28, 15 March 2024 (UTC) |
- Hi GraziePrego, I've partly reorganized the article; I rearranged the lede, partly rewritten it and organized it into chronological order. I've also moved the third para of "Early life", which is about Burke's early career, to "Career"; and the fourth, which is about her marriage and home life, to "Personal life". I've re-titled that section "Early life and education" because it includes both. I've also moved a {{quotebox}} to the talk page; the quotation didn't seem important enough to include, and the WP:MOS counsels against using pullquotes in articles (I consider quoteboxes to be a type of pullquote). The quotation could probably be integrated into the text or paraphrased. Anyway, good luck with the article. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 03:14, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- Amazing, thank you very much! GraziePrego (talk) 05:09, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

Tagging pages for speedy deletion, CSD G6
[edit]Hello, GraziePrego,
If you want to move an article from Draft space to take a page that is held by a main space Redirect, please, using Twinkle, select CSD>G6 Move and in the field, put the name of the draft article you want moved. This will create a live link so that patrolling admins can easily check it out and see whether or not it should be moved and the page deleted. I think your requests will get a faster response. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:21, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

- Hi GraziePrego, I've added a footnotes section to accommodate text that's germane but a bit off-topic here; that text being the definition of "teal independent". I also note the lede section fails to fully summarize the article's main points so I've marked it with {{Lede too short}}. Good luck with the article and cheers, Baffle☿gab 14:41, 23 March 2024 (UTC).

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
[edit]Hello GraziePrego,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Pages Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.
- To opt out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.

Speedy deletion nomination of Alex Bhathal
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Alex Bhathal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alexandra Kaur Bhathal. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. AusLondonder (talk) 11:43, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
Nomination of Alex Bhathal for deletion
[edit]The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alex Bhathal until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.AusLondonder (talk) 14:04, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Woman Real Estate CEO BLP
[edit]Hi GraziePrego, I noticed that you are actively engaged in articles for WP:Women in Red. Would you please look at my article draft for MaryAnne Gilmartin, an NYC real estate developer and CEO and, if you agree that she is notable, moving the draft to main space? I am not publishing the article myself because of my COI. Thank you very much! AK for MAG (talk) 14:40, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there, I've had a look at the article and I don't think she is notable. Per WP:BASIC, there's a lack of sources supporting her notability that are independent, reliable, and in-depth. Some fulfil one or two of those criteria, but I don't think any fulfil all of those criteria simultaneously. If there are, you'd need 3 or more of such sources to meet WP:SIGCOV. GraziePrego (talk) 02:28, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

RfA candidate poll
[edit]Regarding the RfA candidate poll you started: note as per the instructions for this poll, it's intended for those seeking to request administrative privileges in the near future. Historically there have been two primary reasons: to avoid speculation on the candidate's contributions between the poll and the request, and to narrow the scope of the poll to keep the workload manageable for responders. That being said, the current set of responders are typically quite flexible in their willingness to provide feedback. You might consider, though, looking at some of the editors who have nominated candidates in the past few years, and asking them directly for advice. isaacl (talk) 22:10, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Reward board inquiry
[edit]Good evening @GraziePrego,
After reading your reward board post from January, I decided to expand the article for senator Marie Breen (before, for reference) with the intention of nominating it for GA. Not that I'm asking for a copyedit or anything like that, but since you're presumably far more knowledgeable on Australian politics than I am, I was hoping you would be able to give it a quick look and give me any feedback you may have before I nominate it. Thank you either way! Kimikel (talk) 02:06, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- Amazing work! I will very happily give it a look :) GraziePrego (talk) 02:13, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Kimikel you have done a fantastic job with the page! I have made a few minor changes but overall it looks excellent. Such a great thing seeing the contrast between the before and after. Good luck with the GA review! GraziePrego (talk) 02:25, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- thank you that's very heartening to hear! sorry for the typos and errors i made; I really appreciate your help. Will be nominating for GA now; if approved, I'll be back for my barnstar :) Kimikel (talk) 02:28, 7 July 2024 (UTC)

parkrun
[edit]Not a good image???? --Pete (talk) 06:32, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- In my opinion, yes. None of the people were smiling, no one was running, the people pictured are staring awkwardly at the camera, etc. The picture I replaced it with was 1. The longstanding previous picture 2. A picture of the first and most popular parkrun location in the world 3. Pictures people running. I have a very strong preference for this picture over the one I described as poor. GraziePrego (talk) 08:21, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- You've replaced a picture where no one was smiling with one where no one was smiling. Oh-kay. Consider that the image you prefer is shown in a thumbnail and very few details are visible.
- One of the main selling points of parkrun is that it is an event where people of all ages, shapes and sizes participate. It is not a race. Shown as a thumbnail, my image shows clearly a wide variety participating, they are dressed in running gear, they are just normal people taking part in an activity. Granted, one person, an obvious parkrun tourist, is looking at the camera. This adds interest and draws the eye in.
- I've taken tens of thousands of parkrun photographs and I wouldn't say that anybody in the Bushy Park shot is running. Jogging, sure but if that pack was moving at a running pace, I would expect to see several in the classic "flying feet" position.
- Why should Bushy Park be featured anywhere but in the "History" section? There seems to be no good reason for putting it in the infobox.
- I don't accept your comments as having much validity, apart from your stated personal preference. --Pete (talk) 05:45, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- I'm really unsure why you're being so snarky, rude and condescending about this. I understand it's your image and so you're taking this as a criticism of your photography or something? Coming to my talk page to be so rude is a bit upsetting honestly, especially when you're just mad I took your personal photograph away. At least you typed out a full message this time instead of just saying "not a good image????".
- Putting aside the tone, I see zero reason to change my opinion that the image was poor. The image there now was a longstanding image, shows the most popular parkrun in the world, shows people in movement, no awkward staring at the camera or odd facial expressions, a prettier looking course, etc etc. Take it to the talk page of parkrun if you wish; you've been here for 20 years so I know you know that's proper process. GraziePrego (talk) 05:58, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- No offence meant. As a parkrun photographer, I was wondering if there were any valid reasons behind your comment. Speaking of offence, you were the one saying it was not a good image. How did you think I'd feel about that? --Pete (talk) 09:08, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- On offence, I was commenting on your image, rather than on you personally as an editor. I’m sure you’re an excellent editor, I just disagree with you about what image should be in the info box on parkrun. You suggested that I was editing with improper motivations and was removing things based on just not liking them. It’s quite different to criticise someone’s edit than to attack the editor making it. How to put a color behind the words and put an image --BaZooKa7 (talk) 08:30, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there, I'm guessing you mean putting colour behind words in tables? You have to set the "style" for each specific cell, you can do that in source mode. Best way to do that is find a table on a different article that has the colour you want, go into source mode and pick out what line is causing that, and copypaste it into the article you want to edit.
- For adding an image, you can add one by going to the top of the editing window and clicking "Insert" and then "Images and Media". Hope that helps! GraziePrego (talk) 08:35, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

Jewish Council of Australia - I don't understand your perspective of what belongs, especially in quotes
[edit]I don't understand why you are putting "left leaning" in quotes in the intro, when the words left leaning to not appear. The words "far left" appear in the source. Furthermore it isn't ECAJ who is describing the JCA as "far left", it is the words of the journalist. But I really don't understand why you would want to put "left leaning" in quotes when those words don't appear, but be against "far left" when those words to appear written by the journalists.
I also don't understand why you think "It has been described as" in the intro is wikispeak, but then using the same 'It has been described as" to say that the name is deceptive is not wikispeak?
I want to do some more edits to flesh things out, but I don't want to edit war, so I am trying to reach out to get on the same page. Seraphya (talk) 05:48, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for reaching out. The source applied to that sentence does not use the phrase “far-left” anywhere; it says the supporters of the JCA “align with the left” and in the diagram, gives their leaning as just “left”. I will restore this wording as it fits with the source (and as it is the ante bellum wording) we should discuss further on the talk page if there’s more to change for it.
- The reasoning behind the other wording is word choice. Saying something has been described as something is better suited to less controversial descriptors. If we say, as the wording I removed did, that they have been “noted” as being deceptive, then we are explicitly saying in wikivoice that it’s unequivocally factual that they’re being deceptive. We can’t say that, we can certainly say they have been described as such but also give the context that’s found later in the article that they explicitly don’t claim to be representative and so they don’t consider themselves to be carrying out deception. GraziePrego (talk) 06:56, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- I realized I got my sources confused, they were from the same site. I think it is better if we use the article that describers the organization as well as the one that describes the supporters.
- Doesn't the neutrality of wikipedia mean that we should not trust the self description of people and organization over their description of others? Of course someone in general wouldn't admit to deception, but I think it is pretty clear that both for the AJA and the JCA that the names were chosen specifically to appear to the unwitting public as representative. Hello, GraziePrego!
I am a complete neophyte writing Wikipedia articles, but nevertheless have been trying to clean up, correct, and add to the article on CBS Laboratories, where I worked for several years. I have been adding to it bit by bit, but have just now been informed by a bot, apparently, about significant issues in my last changes.
After following all of the change pages, I now feel that I have understood what I am being asked to change, and why - hopefully you will agree.
Please let me know if I have missed any important items!

Speedy deletion nomination of Australia's Voice
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Australia's Voice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Gharouni Talk 03:08, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have removed this tag as a political party being founded by an incumbent Senator with parliamentary representation is a credible claim of significance. AusLondonder (talk) 03:45, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @AusLondonder, I wholeheartedly agree that this page is obviously notable. It’s a party with federal representation, it’s unequivocally notable. GraziePrego (talk) 03:49, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for improving articles on October! - My story today is a cantata 300 years old, based on a hymn 200 years old when the cantata was composed, based on a psalm some thousand years old, - so said the 2015 DYK hook. I had forgotten the discussion on the talk. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:48, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
Lidia Thorpe
[edit]You based your demolition of the separate "Controversies" section in the article on Lidia Thorpe on the premises of WP:CSECTION. However, that is a section of an essay, namely WP:NOCRIT, not a guideline or a policy, and, equally importantly, a section that is currently under discussion. Please revert your change until at least the discussion on that essay is resolved. -The Gnome (talk) 10:44, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. It may not be established policy, however I still believe that my edit was an improvement as lumping controversies into a specific section is a pretty poor way of avoiding NPOV. I've moved them into the "member of parliament" section which is where they fit better in my opinion, readers who read that section can make their own judgement about Thorpe's time in parliament without being explicitly told that what they are about to read is controversial. Question from Sharath220896 (06:40, 26 October 2024)
[edit]Hello I'm trying to publish an article for a film, and needed your guidance in adding reference --Sharath220896 (talk) 06:41, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there, what is the name of this article? If you link it to me perhaps I can have a look and help with the references. GraziePrego (talk) 07:08, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
I've just nominated Thomas Sewell (neo-Nazi) for a GA. I've never done this before so I'd appreciate any assistance. If I get this through I might think about more figures on the far-right in AUS that have the articles currently at B class or better. TarnishedPathtalk 14:24, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi TarnishedPath, always good to see you :) I will very happily take a look and see if I can make some helpful changes or guidance. Happy editing! GAs are good fun to do. GraziePrego (talk) 07:09, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
Citrus articles
[edit]Hi, thanks for your Reward Board idea. As you seem to know, I've brought Orange to GA already; Lemon and Citrus are either there or in GAN now. Chiswick Chap (talk) 20:57, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- All three articles have now made it through to GA, if your *** offer is still open! Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:39, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

I am editing one page with authentic information but someone is again deleting the edits. What I found that information given in that page was not specific and correct so I corrected it but why it's being deleted by someone else again and again. Can u pls guide --Editrider (talk) 09:33, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there :) Your edits need citations to support the information you're trying to add. Also, it's not usually practice to add children to biography pages unless the children are also notable. GraziePrego (talk) 09:59, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- One child which I mentioned is a renowned ceo of a startup in USA and had been a top fund raiser also. So do I need to add refrence website where it was published? Editrider (talk) 10:30, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
