Please amend data
[edit]Hi Man, Recently, I have created quite a number of Chinese soccer players, please amend data for me. A lot of data that I didn't put reference is because, I work in soccer industry in China. I mainly get those data from friends, not formal data source. You can also noticed that most players I created are either born in Shandong or Liaoning, because I am only familiar with Liaoning and Shandong players. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Liujinhui1981 (talk • contribs) 10:32, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

- You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
- If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
- If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 21:50, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
The article Hu Yunfeng has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails wp:footy/n and wp:gng. I can not find any indication that he has actually played for the Chinese national team. All other teams he has played for are below the level of the Chinese Super League.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ravendrop (talk) 21:21, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Djima Oyawolé, you must include proper sources. Hi there LAU, VASCO here,
you did a great job at improving the article overall, period. My summary was a bit exaggerated to say the least, i apologize for that. However, i have already composed some of your further additions in the player's article as: 1 - you repeated 2009/10 PRIMEIRA LIGA and 2010/11 UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE contents (overlinking/overinformation); 2 - please, full names of clubs in storyline, compression is for box; 3 - i removed this reference (please see here http://www.footballzz.co.uk/edicao.php?id_edicao=1429) because it shows nothing of his link to FLAMENGO in 2007, only that the club won the regional league (we should try to get a source about his signing or similar); 4 - last but not least, it is not necessary to refer to all the honours won by the player in storyline, that is the job of the HONOURS section, some suffice in storyline.
Kind regards from Portugal, sorry for any incovenience --Vasco Amaral (talk) 19:55, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

I'm not an admin so I don't have the possibility to act directly against this IP. The only thing I can do is to report him at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism (after he has been given sufficient recent warnings to stop his behavior). In this case another editor has given this IP another a final warning so I don't think that it will help to report him at WP:AIV. But if he vandalizes again, I will try to get him blocked. --Jaellee (talk) 21:45, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Chinese FA Super Cup
[edit]Hi, Kai Lau! Official documents about Chinese FA Super Cup in the early years had already deleted form Chinese FA official website. So I found some related reports about this competition:
- The match played on 18 January 2004 between Beijing and Shanghai is named as "2003 Chinese FA Super Cup (2003年度中国足协超霸赛)". Source: 2003年度中国足协超霸赛竞赛规程--申花VS现代
- The match played on 6 February 2003 between Dalian and Qingdao is named as "2002 Chinese FA Super Cup (2002年度中国足协超霸赛)". Source: 中国足协展示2002年度超霸赛冠亚军奖杯
- The match played on 26 February and 2 March 2002 between Dalian and Shanghai is named as "2001 Chinese FA Super Cup (2001年度中国足协超霸赛)". Source: 中国足协超霸赛元宵节开打 世界杯前上演连沪双雄战
- The match played on 30 December 2000 between Dalian and Chongqing is named as "2000 Chinese FA Super Cup (2000年度中国足协超霸赛)". Source: 大连实德队获中国足协超霸赛冠军
I think we can deduce the rest from this pattern. No matter the match played at the end of the season or at the beginning of the next season, it was named after the year when participants won their trophies between 1995 and 2003.

Beijing Guoan F.C.
[edit]your first reference was about the selling of CITIC Guoan Group, but not the football club. also please consider checking http://www.gsxt.gov.cn first. Matthew_hk tc 08:11, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- Yes I provided a reference that stated that CITIC Guoan Group had sold a large stake of it's company. I thought it necessary to establish the ownership of the club had moved from CITIC Guoan Group to CITIC Limited so when I continued to mention the club's ownership there wouldn't be any confusion. Your edit actually keeps the reference and embellishes upon the sentence with this:
- "Despite founded by CITIC Guoan Group, the stake of the football club was held by another subsidiary (Chinese: 中国中信股份有限公司; literally: "China CITIC Co., Ltd.") of CITIC Group, a Beijing incorporated SPV for a possible listing in the mainland China since 2012.[24] (CITIC Group invited other investors to purchase the new share of CITIC Guoan Group in 2014,[25] making the company no longer a subsidiary of CITIC Group) In 2014, CITIC Group backdoor listing most of their assets to their Hong Kong based subsidiary CITIC Pacific (renaming to CITIC Limited) including the entire share capital of "China CITIC", thus the stake of the football club was indirectly floated in a stock exchange."
- Are you informing me that you believe that the sentence I wrote and the reference I provided is redundant and doesn't adhere to the direct ownership of the club? If so I propose a more streamlined edit:
- "On January 10, 2017 real estate company Sinobo Group finalised a 64% stake within the club while the remaining shares stayed with CITIC Group under CITIC Limited."
- Also please stop using http://www.gsxt.gov.cn as a reference as it's main page only and doesn't provide any actual information, which makes it a Wikipedia:Shallow references. Please use this unnecessary long address to validate your references:
User:Kai Lau (talk) 01.36 January 14, 2017 (GMT)
- The formation of 中国中信股份有限公司 in 2012, the stake already transferred from CITIC Guoan Group, thank you. the "selling" of CITIC Guoan Group in 2014 may not quite related to retaining the football club in the umbrella of CITIC Group. for http://www.gsxt.gov.cn/, i am afraid the link may not be static. Non-free logo galleries
[edit]Hi Kai Lau. I’ve noticed that you've been adding or e-adding various soccer team logos to individual team articles. Each use of a non-free file is required satisfy all WP:NFCCP (not WP:JUSTONE) and the way you’re trying to use these logos is not allowed per Wikipedia's non-free content use policy.
In general, non-free files are not allowed to be used in an image gallery markup per WP:NFG because the context required for non-free use by WP:NFCC#8 is almost never provided and the use is seen as WP:DECORATIVE. The most recent or current team logo can be used for primary indentification purpose in the main infobox or at the top of the article about its team, but it shouldn't really be used again later on in the same article per WP:NFCC#3a and WP:NFCC#10c, while former logos should be incorporated into the article body bear relevant sourced critical commentary which specifically discusses the logo in question as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-4. Simply adding old logos or using the current logos twice in a gallery section is not considered acceptable.
You can ask about this if you like at WT:NFCC or WP:MCQ, but the long-standing consensus has been not to allow this type of non-free use. I've removed some of the galleries you added, but you can help out by removing the rest. If you think you can find any sourced commentary about these logos that would satisfy NFCC#8 and want to add it to the article, then you can move the relevant file near that content. Just make sure you update the corresponding non-free use rationales accordingly to clarify how the file's use now meets NFCC#8 and the other nine non-free content use criteria. — Marchjuly (talk) 22:26, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

- I just browsed through your edits, and IDontHaveSkype is correct. You are still using the conditional tense inappropriately. If you continue to use the conditional tense like this, we will be forced to start reverting your entire edit each time we see it. If you do not stop after that, we will have to start questioning you WP:COMPETENCE. Anwegmann (talk) 01:11, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
