[edit]Hi, thanks for letting me know. I'll take a proper look at it tomorrow. FWIW, he did indeed receive a Medal of the Order of Australia and an Australian Sports Medal, and this is his profile from the International Paralympic Committee. Graham87 15:18, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Methylazoxymethanol acetate
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Methylazoxymethanol acetate at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Cambalachero (talk) 22:07, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Humphrey or Humphry?
[edit]"Humphry" was a common variant spelling of "Humphrey" in Lloyd's day. For instance, Humphry Davy was a contemporary of Lloyd, and that (to modern eyes) odd-seeming spelling of Davy's name is definitely the correct one. Do you have proof one way or another of the spelling of Lloyd's name?
Thanks! Stigmatella aurantiaca (talk) 21:45, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- Well this profile from Trinity College, Dublin, where he was provost, uses Humphrey, but if you have sources that use the other spelling, I've no problem with changing it. Maybe we should continue the conversation on the talk page of the article if this doesn't resolve it. Quasihuman (talk • contribs) 21:57, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- I've been researching this for the last several minutes and found this: Elementary treatise on the wave theory of light. So it looks like "Humphrey" is correct. At the time I was working on this article, two of my sources used the "Humphry" spelling, and two used "Humphrey" so I pretty much flipped a coin. Obviously not a reliable means of scholarship... Cheers! :-) Stigmatella aurantiaca (talk) 22:15, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Animal models of schizophrenia
[edit]On 25 June 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Animal models of schizophrenia, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that rats treated with methylazoxymethanol acetate (molecular model pictured) during gestation are an animal model of schizophrenia? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

This was posted and I do not think it actually went through :P
Hey there. I am failing them due to the Citations. You need the citations in certain areas correct?
I try to add them to the hold list but it is to much in the Citation errors so I have to.
I have only approved only 1 article and I have read that one early this afternoon while pulling some information.

AFC Backlog
[edit]Articles for Creation urgently needs YOUR help!
Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 1120 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.
If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.
We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 2 or 3 reviews, it would be extremely beneficial. |
Heads up
[edit]In case you didn't notice, Deunick's GA reviews have been restarted. Malleus Fatuorum is reviewing the Charles Boycott article and has made some comments at the review that I've responded to. Graham87 05:53, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

My condolences!
[edit]I'm sorry to see no one has picked up your good article nomination at Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations#Biology_and_medicine from July yet! If I at least get the ball rolling by providing some feedback on the talk page, might you be interested in providing some feedback at Wikipedia:Peer_review/Interstitial_cystitis/archive1? I'll notify that editor of this thread. Maybe you two could do some sort of trade. They also want to get interstitial cystitis up to good article status. Best wishes. Biosthmors (talk) 20:54, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Biosthmors, thanks for the kind condolences (luckily much of the waiting time coincided with being busy in real life). My time available to edit is limited right now, however, I'd be happy to review that article, as long as the other editor doesn't mind waiting a few days for a review. Also, I haven't done much content reviewing before (except for DYK, which is a different kettle of fish). Thanks, Quasihuman (talk • contribs) 23:03, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Quasihuman, I would certainly be waiting to wait a few days to better accommodate you. Just let me know when you are ready. Thanks! TylerDurden8823 (talk) 01:40, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
- So I left some comments for you at Talk:Animal models of schizophrenia. There aren't many, but I can provide more later if you wish. FYI, I should probably caution you that I have been criticized for going over GA-level standards when providing feedback for good article candidates. =) Best wishes. We noticed though that when you edited Phil Pickett, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Electric Dreams and It's A Miracle (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hi,
There may be controversies surrounding people and people's points of view may be diverse. However, Dr. Zhi Gang Sha received as I noted in my own posting, the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Commission award (given out by the US government for peace and humanitarian efforts), so I believe these things should be noted in his biographical sketch. He was also cited by Boston Globe as 'peace leader of the world'. So I guess the current posting under his biographical sketch should be maintained under 'Controversies' and my posting should perhaps become the main article, since it is an official review of his activity, accurate and taken from one of his published books. I am also new in posting on wikipedia so I may make some editing mistakes - I accidentally removed the citations from the controversies-section and I apologize for that, it was unintentional.
Thank you for your time,

Amanda Blair
[edit]There is no reference to assert that Amanda Blair is on the board of the Adelaide Festival, and their own website here http://www.adelaidefestival.com.au/board doesn't list her as a board member. In addition the article uses slang and poor language such as this "...gave writing the flick and packed her bags to come to Adelaide" which makes one wonder if she wrote the article herself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.32.117.171 (talk) 04:52, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yes there is no reference to support that claim, however you used speedy deletion criterion A7 to try to delete it, that criterion says: "The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source or does not qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines." If you still think the article needs to be deleted, I will list it on WP:Articles for deletion for you if you give me a deletion rationale (you need an account to list it for technical reasons). I would advise you to read WP:BEFORE and WP:N before nominating. I would also note that the quality of the writing is mostly irrelevant for deletion, because we don't delete stuff that could be fixed by editing. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New Page Review needs your help
[edit]Hi Quasihuman,
As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).
Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.
Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.
It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.
