[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018 Icebreaker at The Granite, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Blaine (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Tim Hortons Spitfire Arms Cash Spiel
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tim Hortons Spitfire Arms Cash Spiel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hugsyrup 15:29, 22 November 2019 (UTC)

Sports links changing to past name
[edit]Hello! I noticed you were having some trouble with sports links changing curlers' names to past names—the reason why that happens is because that's the name in Wikidata, so if you edit the name at Wikidata to be the current name, it should work. You probably don't have to worry too much about changing the templates, though, because the bot will do that. Allthegoldmedals (talk) 19:58, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Swedish curlers
[edit]Thanks for all of your support for Swedish curlers! Some of the new curlers and tournaments getting attention in the 2020-21 season are not likely to have a substantial page in a long time. For the Swedish curlers, I can contact them later for biographic material that I do not know, but for many Swedes, the red marks created by the reference codes signify "you do not warrant an entry". Unless they are likely to have a substantial page created for them soon, I think it's permissible to skip the link for now, and the doubles partners may not even last past this season. I will try to make one later as the season progresses. Comment added by Mosjöberg (talk • contribs) 23:54, 27 September 2020 (UTC) Mosjöberg (talk) 00:10, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Records for World Curling Events?
[edit]Hi, I was wondering if you were interested in collaborating on a page on records in World Curling. You are clearly the best and most prolific Wiki-author on curling and I do not think I can do it on my own. I cannot even think of a title.
So many new records coming and Brad Gushue and Oskar Eriksson just missed two (Gushue is not the only OS, WMCC, and WJMCC champ as Sander Rølvåg said, Ben Hebert and John Morris at least have done it but could have added a WMD gold and Eriksson I think is the only WJMCC gold medalist with two senior WCC championship gold ...)
I think I have an accurate count of men's record-holders with 3 more WMCC gold (and their other medals) and have started on the women's record holders but there is so much more to do.
Any interest?

- Hi. Sorry I missed this - busy two weeks (and I do not do well at the talk features apparently!) If you could start the page that would be great. Order on scoreboard
[edit]You reverted my edit for 2021 WWCC, where I reordered the scoreboard for 3v6 game. You insist that this should be SWE on top half of scoreboard, and CAN on the bottom half. However, WCF has never actually shown the scoreboard in this order. Not in their official broadcast, and not in their official PDF report for the session.
I understand that since it's 3v6, you'll want to list team seeded #3 on top of team seeded #6 on the scoreboard, but not even WCF does this.
How do we resolve this? Personally I think we should follow WCF's own examples, and always list red team on top of yellow team on scoreboard, as a matter of policy.
See also: Jill Officer reports "Canada vs Sweden in the 3 vs 6 qualifier" (Red team is always listed first! Please let me know if you've ever heard the commentators say "Sweden vs Canada" during this broadcast). Whenever compared side-by-side, red team is on the left side, yellow team is on the right side.
Note: Curling Canada also has the same policy, e.g. 2020 Scotties 1v2 is #2:WC vs #1:MB on broadcast and on official draw report.
CurlingClips (talk) 12:44, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hey CurlingClips, sorry I forgot to answer you earlier. Per the Wikipedia Curling Article Guidlines, there aren't actually any rules on the order of which teams are placed on the scoreboard. However, on most pages about curling events on Wikipedia, the top team is usually the higher seeded team (in a playoff situation). For round robin results, they are usually ordered in the way they are on the draw schedule, not considering teams stone colors. I know for world championships this is different as the schedule is always listed red – yellow, but for the playoffs the higher ranked team is usually placed on the top of the scoreboard. An example I can think of off the top of my head is the 3 vs. 6 game from the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship. Although the United States threw yellow rocks, World Curling's livestream of the game lists the game as "United States v Switzerland". These are just my thoughts though. If you want other members of WikiProject Curling's opinions, you can start a discussion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Curling where we discuss issues/topics regarding curling articles. Thanks, and sorry I took so long to respond! -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 04:21, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- No apologies needed, feel free to respond at your own schedule.
- So first of all, contrary to what you said, the 2021 World Men's 3v6 game is NOT USA vs SUI. It is in fact SUI vs USA, as shown during the broadcast (Mike Harris: "Qualification game 3 versus 6, Switzerland taking on the United States"). SUI plays red, and therefore listed first, and occupies top half of the scoreboard, and on the left side of the screen for side-by-side comparisons (see here). You can also confirm this with the official PDF report for the session.
- When listed on the standings table, or on the playoff bracket, #3 USA is listed above #6 SUI, but as far as the curling game itself is concerned, it's SUI vs USA (because it's red vs yellow). Yes, the title of the YouTube video says "United States vs Switzerland", but this is only the title of the video. The content of the video itself, i.e. the official WCF broadcast, clearly says that this 3v6 game is SUI vs USA.
- (I basically ignore the title of YouTube videos. I consider it unofficial, probably written by social media person which are either unaware or not subject to actual WCF policies. I consider the actual broadcast and the official session documents to be more authoritative than the title of the YouTube video, which can be edited by anyone with access to the YouTube account.)
- If the objection is that Wikipedia should not care what colors the teams are playing, that's fine. We can just state as policy that we always follow the order shown in official session report for the game (Curling Canada and WCF publish their official reports online). These official reports are written in accordance to WCF/Curling Canada policies, so this will indirectly result in red vs yellow (and never yellow vs red), but it will not require conscious effort by editors to confirm colors, etc. We just have to follow the orders given in the reports (which I assume is where we get the data from anyway), and everything else will just neatly fall into place. CurlingClips (talk) 09:00, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]whew, busy weekend. I had low expectations at the start but when you started helping so much I kept going. Thank you so much for making the pages so much better. And continuing with creation when I had clearly had too much to drink to do anymore, awesome. I was wondering if you knew had to clean up how Haiti is displayed in the navbox and infobox since it is their first time in the Winter Olympics. I don't like the red links back through their history, but I don't know how to fix it.18abruce (talk) 20:40, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hey 18abruce, no problem helping out with the pages yesterday. I tried to make them all consistent in the infobox, lead and categories as well as include the list of competitors for each country (all except Sweden are done I believe). I'm not to familiar with how the Olympic pages work on Wikipedia as this will be my first time editing on Wikipedia while the Olympics are taking place but I will definitely look into how to fix the redlinks on Haiti's page and let you know if I find a solution. Red link categories
[edit]Hello, TracyFleuryFan,
If you are going to add nonexistent, red link categories to articles (like Category:2022 in Colombian sport), could you please take a few minutes to create the category? According to WP:REDNO, red link categories must either be removed or the category created. I think it's best if someone, like yourself, who knows the subject creates the category because you'll know all the relevant parent categories it should be placed in. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:52, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- Categories and talk pages have been made for all 2022 Olympic country pages and extend to categories like "Category:2022 in Luxembourg". Thank you for letting me know of this rule, now it won't happen again! -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 04:01, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

ECC2021 Apology
[edit]Hey, I just wanted to apologize for updating the Round Robin Standings on the 2021 European Curling Championships without filling all the data cells out. Even as I did it, I felt a pang of guilt. I promise it wasn't meant to be destructive and I will reframe from touching it in the future. Thank you for all your hard work. Edwyth (talk) 13:09, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hey Edwyth, No worries! I appreciate all of your work on the WCF event pages and you do a great job as well. For the Round Robin Standings, it can just become very confusing when the W/L are updated but not the rest of the stats and then I have to go through the edits to see what was updated and what was not. I don't want you to feel like you can't touch the standings table, just make sure to update all data for all the teams next time. Cheers! -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 01:47, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- I think I can handle all the data cells except DSC, I kept thinking it was an ongoing average of the DSC during the round robin, but my numbers don't exactly match up. So how is it calculated if you can help me understand this bit? Thank you! Edwyth (talk) 02:22, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry it took me so long to respond Edwyth. Usually, WCF has a PDF with all of the DSC totals listed. Personally, I like to use CURLIT as they cover all the WCF events and it is a lot easier to navigate. Here's a link: [1]. -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 06:11, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Autopatrolled granted
[edit]Hi TracyFleuryFan, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 15:11, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you so much Joe! I will be sure to ask you if I have any questions or concerns, cheers! -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 06:08, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
2022 Winter Olympics
[edit]Hi, thank you for creating the curling articles for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Instead of templates, section headings are now used. This is done to avoid creating hundreds of templates, and this method gets the job done the same way. Here is an example from water polo at Tokyo 2020 [2]. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 04:46, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- Here is an example from the women's ice hockey event [3]. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 04:49, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- Hey Sportsfan 1234! Sorry just seeing this now. Don't worry, I've already made the templates for all games and created the tournament pages for the men's, women's and mixed doubles events. I will closely monitor and be on top of everything curling related for the upcoming games so nothing to worry about! Thanks for the shortcut way as well, I will be sure to use it next time. -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 06:07, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yea saw you had created all of them, what a great job you did! Next time you will save time haha! Thanks again. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 16:28, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

2022 curling
[edit]Just curious; do you not like the notating of eliminated teams in the standings, or just not like how it was presented.18abruce (talk) 19:34, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hey 18abruce! Yeah personally I don't think it's necessary to show the eliminated teams but I did it more so to match the 2018 mixed doubles standings table and the rest of the standings tables in Wikipedia:WikiProject Curling. We usually don't show eliminated teams there so I don't think we have to in this one as well. -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 02:20, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
- No worries, I am good either way.18abruce (talk) 02:46, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

Curling
[edit]Please leave your changes. With other sites, live tickers are also made, so if then nowhere or everywhere. 78.54.2.140 (talk) 22:35, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- From Wikipedia:WikiProject Curling/Article Guidelines: "Curlingboxes should be left blank until confirmed results are available. There should be no live updating of scores." I don't make the rules, I just follow them... -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 22:39, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
In addition, you can enter the result after an end, which is like when a set in tennis is over. 78.54.2.140 (talk) 22:40, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
Ok I didn't know that. But then you should not only do it in curling but also everywhere. Thanks for the help. Best regards. 78.54.2.140 (talk) 22:42, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- No worries! I wasn't aware when I joined either so I was doing the same thing. Now I just fill in individual game scores when they are over. Take care! -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 22:56, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
National Curling Teams
[edit]Hello , Why is there no article for the national curling team? For example, the Canadian men's national curling team or the Scottish or Swiss women's national curling team.
Finland men's national floorball team
Canada men's national curling team
Is it due to the nature of curling exercise? Is it an individual or team sport? Why is there no article for any country like national football or basketball teams? Can you create a national curling team article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Semilko (talk • contribs) 12:15, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
Curler notability
[edit]Hey TFF, I really would like your thoughts on the changes at Wikipedia_talk:Notability_(sports)#Curling. It will have a large impact on our work going ahead, so I figured you should be made aware of it. Good curling! -- Earl Andrew - talk 22:30, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hey Earl, thanks for the link. I'll check it out and leave my thoughts. I'm not loving what I'm seeing so far though... -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 05:24, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

DSC
[edit]Welcome back (I don't mean to pry, but based on your absence but were you at the U18s? If so, congrats!), anyway - just wondering where you got the DSC numbers for the Champions Cup. It's probably hiding in plan sight, but I wasn't able to find them myself. Cheers. -- Earl Andrew - talk 15:07, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hey! Yes, I was at U18s haha, thank you! For the DSC numbers, I found them on the Korean Curling Media Instagram account @curling1spoon. Here's the direct link to the post with the LSD scores: https://www.instagram.com/p/CdPQZqHLwEM/. No, it was definitely not in plain sight... -- TracyFleuryFan (talk) 23:27, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- That's pretty random! Well done finding them. It was frustrating hearing the commentators talking about it only to not be able to find them anywhere. -- Earl Andrew - talk 11:08, 14 May 2022 (UTC)

Where has episode 7 already aired? Bgsu98 (talk) 00:18, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, it aired at 7 eastern in Canada on CTV but it may not have in the States so that’s why. TracyFleuryFan (talk) 01:46, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you for clarifying! 😃 Bgsu98 (talk) 02:38, 18 August 2022 (UTC)

"MasterChef" blank spaces in tables
[edit]Please stop adding blank spaces and placeholders for the next episode of MasterChef (American season 12) as you have been doing. There is WP:NORUSH to put these in there, the table can be adjusted once the episode actually airs. Adding blank spaces makes the table look bad. Appreciate it thanks. - SanAnMan (talk) 15:05, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
List of World Women's Curling Champions Double Check
[edit]Hey I moved the performance timeline on this page List of World Women's Curling Champions to begin separating out the 2020s. I think 4 decades across is probably about where it maxes it out. But I didn't want to delete 2021 & 2022 from the original chart before someone looked at it to make sure I copied everything over right. If you have time can you look at it? Thank you! Edwyth (talk) 22:57, 9 November 2022 (UTC)

2022 European Curling Championships
[edit]Someone touched the Wins-Loses Chart on 2022 European Curling Championships so I updated the Points for and Against, Shot% and DSC for the men's A Division trying to fix it, I ran out of time to finish the rest, but I wanted you to know where I left off, sorry I couldn't finish it. Edwyth (talk) 00:38, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update, no worries. I just updated it so that all the numbers are right. TracyFleuryFan (talk) 04:22, 20 November 2022 (UTC)

Curling at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics
[edit]Do you think the results boxes are needed on the nation pages? If so I think the transclusion approach is best. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 22:11, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- I was following what was done at the previous games but I'm good with whatever you think is best. TracyFleuryFan (talk) 01:50, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- I see you added the summaries which is fine, but what I mean is the 'scoreboxes'. Do you think its necessary to include them? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:41, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- We definitely could, make it similar to the 2022 Olympic pages. I don't think it's necessary but we could for sure add them. TracyFleuryFan (talk) 07:36, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to join New pages patrol
[edit]Hello TracyFleuryFan!
- The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
- We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
- If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

2024 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship Question
[edit]It says on the page that the winning team will represent Canada at the 2026 World Mixed Curling Championship as the 2025 championship will not be held. Which is great, but what about the winner of the 2025 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship? Because the 2025 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship will take play around November 2025, and then the 2026 World Mixed Curling Championship will be around October 2026. Will there be some kind of face-off between the two winners? Just wanted to know how that will all work, thanks in advance! Edwyth (talk) 07:20, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
