Halnetti Mihiri Sangeetha Silva (born October 8th, 1984), known professionally as Mihiri Silva is a Sri Lankan singer, songwriter, composer and pianist. Silva started taking singing and piano lessons at the age of 4 preparing her for the musical journey ahead.
Early life
editSilva began making music when she was only 4 years old, singing for local radio stations nationwide. Mihiri's father, Mano Silva was a legend and one of the best known musicians around Sri Lanka, making it hard for Mihiri Silva to step in his footsteps. He traveled around Europe, making music at that time. Because of that Mihiri Silva stayed with her grandparents Clarance and Liliet Silva who also was a talented singer. When she was 15 she joined her father in Switzerland where she studied to become a designer and performed with her father in the family band "The Silvas".
