Playing career
editZhabchenko made his professional debut in the Soviet Second League in 1989, for Dynamo Bila Tserkva.[1] He played seven games in the 1996 UEFA Intertoto Cup for Rotor Volgograd.
Coaching career
editFrom 2013 to 2016, Zhabchenko was a manager of Hirnyk-Sport Komsomolsk.
