Why the EU is not in the list of participants?

• U.S. President welcomes participants at the meeting, the first being Barroso and Van Rompuy
• President Barroso and president Van-Rompuy at G8 meeting
• The European Union at the G8 summit in Camp David (U.S.) on 18-19 May 2012 "Acting together"
