Joseph Auty Harley
editThe Harley family appears to have been quite involved in Nelson politics. Joseph Auty Harley was the 8th mayor (1899–1901). He died in 1906. There was another Joseph Auty Harley mayor later on (1947–1956); this might have been a grandson. Schwede66 11:15, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Mayor of Nelson
editAdding and editing as I sought out information - NealeFamily —Preceding unsigned comment added by NealeFamily (talk • contribs) 09:48, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- Nice one. Thanks. I'll go and format it so that it appears in table format. Also, I'll change the redlink back for Francis Trask, as honorifics are not part of article names. Schwede66 18:15, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Schwede for all your comments and assistance. I'll add more information as I find it and follow your lead on formating. (NealeFamily (talk) 20:05, 1 December 2010 (UTC))
1875 happenings
editGood work. I've had a look what happened in 1875, and here's what I've been able to find:
- seven new councillors elected without contest
- new mayor elected
Hope this helps. Schwede66 02:38, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
