I think there was no local civil population during WW I, because thése people were evacuated in 1913, when the construction of Russian naval fortress began in this island. They returned only in the beginning of Estonian independence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.40.110.66 (talk) 13:32, 21 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think, it should be mentioned, that world-famous telescope inventor Bernhard Schmidt was born on Naissaar. MartinV —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.50.204.238 (talk) 10:23, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Any sources that Naissaar Soviet Rep. used the same flag as Kronstadt revolt?

edit

This page uses the Kronstadt Revolt flag for the Soviet Republic of Soldiers and Fortress-Builders of Naissaar, but none of the sources show this, and one even has a conflicting flag. In fact, the only source I can find for this being the flag used is this article itself. Are there any sources for this flag being used? Thespündragon 22:55, 6 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Country Infobox removal

edit

Latest revision by No such user has removed a Infobox from the article and I was wondering if this was agreed upon at some point or they did it spontaneously. Bvcitizen (talk) 06:26, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

They didn't cite any consensus. The did give a reason, if somewhat sarcastically. If you disagree, you should take it up with them on this talk page.
BTW, the {{help}} templates should be used on your own talk page and it is considered inappropriate to use them for help with a content dispute, which this seems to be. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:58, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Sorry didn’t realize I’ll remember not to do that again and I might if I have time but I’ll leave it to somebody else. Bvcitizen (talk) 07:15, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
As I hinted in the edit summary, I have a hard time understanding why a rebellious soviet commune of about 100 people, that lasted about three months during the turmoil of the October Revolution should be called a "country". And even if we stretch the definition, I do not see why that historic factoid must be cherished with an infobox that occupies about half of the article and does not bring a single piece of new information, and bringing of it apparently false or at least questionable (like flag or currency). I don't mind having an {{Infobox island}} at the top of the article, but Infobox country is just a figment of Wikipedian imagination. No such user (talk) 09:31, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps the Infobox former subdivision would be a more accurate template to use for this? Although this still would not likely meet your criteria, as you seem to think an infobox for this subsection is entirely unnecessary.--Grnrchst (talk) 10:08, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it is entirely unnecessary. I don't think that Former Subdivision is appropriate either, since it was not really a subdivision of anything. No such user (talk) 14:13, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Anasaitis: As you just reverted the removal of the infobox, I thought it worth pinging you here. There still isn't consensus on infobox inclusion. --Grnrchst (talk) 14:43, 13 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
