Spoiler
editI suggest a spoiler warning is added to sections of this, specifically where its revealed he commits suicide within Kraven's Last Hunt. if it wasn't specified where or when it happened it wouldnt be an issue, but i've actually just started reading last hunt and i'm a little dissapointed it was spoiled so easily.
I removed the following from the article because I really don't think RPG stats belong in Wikipedia. Since large numbers of these "vital stats" sections have been added to various articles, I'm using Talk:Strength level (comics) to discuss this issue in general. Bryan 07:49, 28 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- Name: Sergei Kravenov
- Height: 6'2"
- Weight: 210 lbs.
- Intelligence Level: Above Normal
- Strength Level: Enhanced Human (w/serum)(Can military press 2 tons)
- Durability Level: Enhanced Human (w/serum)
- Stamina Level: Enhanced Human (w/serum)
- Speed Level: Enhanced Human (w/serum)
- Agility Level: Enhanced Human (w/serum)
- Reflexes Level: Enhanced Human (w/serum)
- Note: Without the serum Kraven possessed the physical strength of any normal man of his age, height, and weight who engaged in intensive regular excercise. His physical strength, in particular, was of the Olympic calibre.
- Special Abilities: Kraven was a gifted hunter, marksman, and tracker. He had more exceptional fighting skills than Spider-Man as he was able to hold his own against the web-slinger, even without the serum.
Formerly Disputed
editThe word "obviously" has no place in an encylopedia article -- it's an expression of the writer's subjective interpretation. If somebody thinks Kraven is inspired by General Zaroff, they need to say something about the similarities.
I'm skeptical. It's been a while, but I don't recall Kraven living on a desert island or hunting down shipwrecked travellers. His fondness for hunting Spider-man is a point of similarity, but if that's there is, it's only good for a "may have been based on". Best of all would be "Stan Lee says that". In any case, "obviously" has got to go.

Agreed. Although there is probably some influence, the connection is far from obvious. Their only similarity is that both are hunters, and both have humans (various for Zaroff, and Spider-Man for Kraven) for "prey." Their Slavic names could be a connection too. Either way, their similarities are sketchy, and they certainly don't merit so strong a note. I will change that. --BDD 16:20, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Excuse a nitpick, but the validity of the comparison is kind of beside the point. "Obviously" is a subjective term. Even if you had lots of evidence that Kraven was based on Zaroff, I'd still object to "obviously". I'd insist that you say, "similarities indicate" or something like that.
I thought kraven faked his own death and had somebody's else body in his place so he can live a normal life?
Vladimir?
editAs it appears the character has resurfaced alive What's the source for this? Thanos6 21:58, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
The miniseries Claws revealed this. It was revealed to be a robot/LMD, but fooled Wolverine's enhanced senses (specifically, smell) into thinking it's real.
Personality
editBesides his desire to turn down spider-man, Kraven seems to have a sense of honor, that not many villians like he has. He has a great feeling for fairnis and normalily hate it, to have a advantage again his foe. Of coure, this charakter aqualities change from writer to writer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.141.163.22 (talk) 17:39, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes, sometimes, Fans (like me) love this charakter more then Peter Parker; he is "exotic". And the personality of Kraven changing from "Mad Hunter" and "Honest Savage" to "Second Tarzan" and "Animal Friend". Today, hunting down rhinos, lions ans elefants wouldn't make you sympatic in the Marvel-Universe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.141.182.180 (talk) 19:41, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Ana's age
editSomeone mentioned in the article that Ana is only 12 years old. Granted, the book says she was born in 1996, but is it currently 2008 in the book?Trashydrummer (talk) 00:56, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Ana Kravinoff's page
editSeeing as Kraven the Hunter's sons Grim Hunter and Alyosha Kravinoff have their own page, I am suggesting that we have a separate page created for Ana Kravinoff. What do you think? Rtkat3 (talk) 5:48, November 2 2012 (UTC)
- I can see that, I agree. (JoeLoeb (talk) 17:09, 7 December 2012 (UTC))
- Is there anything that you could put on the page other than some plot dump? Other stuff existing isn't really a valid reason for creating a page, as neither of those Kraven sons should really have their own article, either. -Fandraltastic (talk) 18:55, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- I have to agree with Fandraltastic that there is no real reason for a split based on the content that we have, nor is the article so big that a split is required. Op47 (talk) 15:41, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Missing History
editKraven's fictional character biography is missing the character's repeated clashes with spider-man starting with his first encounter.--Paleface Jack (talk) 22:52, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Spider-Man: No Way Home Easter egg
editIn the Marvel Cinematic Universe section in other media shouldn’t it be stated that in the climax of the film when the reality tears are opened there are multiple silhouettes of Spider-Man related enemies appearing. One of those figures resembles Kraven the Hunter shouldn’t that be noted or do we need a source? 0Detail-Attention215 (talk) 22:44, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
