Should direct democracy and technocracy be here? Neither have anything to do with capitalism.Reflections of Memory (talk) 02:29, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

While direct democracy and technocracy are not related to capitalism, they are very important concepts for hypothetical future post-capitalist economic models, at least the ones that are currently being tossed around the relevant circles. I do not mean to conflate the economic and the political, but the these ideas about democracy are very much related to ideas about new kinds of economies.--Animus45 (talk) 04:51, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

The whole libertarian section should probably go, the libertarian right usually advocate private property and a market economy, that is the generally a definition of capitalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ultan42 (talkcontribs) 13:13, 11 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I see the article says Wikipedia is free, but isn't it technically crowdfunded in every sense of the word, both with respect to contributions to the articles there, and the yearly donation? Nobody HAS to pay, but ultimately someone will, to ensure server hosting and maintnance, and keep it alive. Correct me if I'm wrong.--StePedersen (talk) 15:20, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
